I am selling a laser using the Mitsubishi ML501P73 diode ran at 1A, which gives me ~800mw.
The laser was built by me recently, but I am now selling it because the laser is too powerful for me, and I am too irresposible and scared I'll hurt myself or someone else.
Here are some photos of the...
I have a 800-ish mw 638nm laser.
I would like to sell it but I have no one to sell it to.
If there is someone on this forum who might be interested, I would gladly provide more info.

I have checked out the datasheet which says this is a "hologram laser diode".
I still don't understand anything about it and what it does.
I was wondering, are there any low-ish power (5-50mw) 450, 405, 447 etc. nm laser diodes?
All of the blue diodes DTR has are 500-7000mw (excluding the Sharp 488 diode).
Is this a good lens to buy for the mitsubishi 638nm 500mw laser diode?

Ok, educate me on dummy loads, please.
For instance, if I have a 1A driver, and my laser diode is supposed to work on 2.2v, how many diodes do I need in a dummy load?
How do I calculate these things, and what do I even need to calculate?
I know I should probably know these things, but I don't...
So I have a survival lasers c6 host and a fixed current driver. My question is can I put the driver into the pill WITHOUT a brass ring? Also, some components on the board are touching the the pill, is that supposed to happen?
I'm looking for a 1W green laser diode with an actually circular beam and good divergence?
If there even is such a thing.
Sorry in advance for the stupid question.
So, I was thinking, is it safe to run the Mitsubishi ML501P73 diode with 1A in cw mode (I'd run it 5-10 seconds on, minute off duty cycle, if that works.)
I know I'd need adequate cooling, but I'm just scared of frying the diode.
Thanks.
Are cheap eBay laser diode drivers such as https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F262878776688 safe/good to use? If not, why?
So I was wondering, can I set a max current output for the flexdrive? Say that I somehow set it to 800ma, and then when I turn the potentiometer the max it can go is 800ma. I am asking this because I've been thinking to wire a bigger potentiometer to the driver so I can control the laser's...
As you might know, 589nm (amber yellow) lasers are difficult to produce, insanely unstable and very expensive. Just like 488nm (cyan) lasers were a couple of years ago, but then Sharp came out with a 488nm diode, now you can get them for like $30. So I've been wondering, do you think Sharp, or...
Alright, so today I pressed my first diode.
The press was successful, but I damaged the diode a bit...
It's not too bad, I don't think.
But I know these things are very sensitive.
So what is my prognosis? Is it busted or is it fine?
