This little pos LD took a massive beating. Not only was there an accidental reversal of polarity that went on for quite some time while I was trying to figure out why I wasn't getting any light, but after I got it running I cranked the sucker up as bright as I could get it until it maxed out...
+1 edit: gotta spread some first lol
I have been using this app for a year now and its pretty accurate, its a must have when you are outdoors, especially nowadays...
Thanks for posting...
Thanks adam,
I saw that one too. I just didn't know if the diode he was describing was the same exact one I have. But after doing a lot of reading, and understanding how case positive works, it can only be one or the other, just like Morgan said
Soon as I have some extra time I'm...
So I bought a 532 pen from laserpenshop.com
I had to press down the button real hard to make it work. When I finally contacted them to see about getting a new one they basically told me to pound sand and that I should fix it myself, lol dont buy from them...
So I took it apart and have a nice...
Learning how to manually control your aperture, shutter speed, exposure, white balance and ISO is pretty interesting; however, once you know how, you will want to do certain things that you will be limited to by the camera you decide to choose. Just remember, higher the ISO is set, the more...
I bought these: NoIR, and they are absolutely awesome. I got the ARG lens OD 7+ VLT 48%
NoIR's customer service was above average, and that takes a lot for me to say. When I need to get protection outside of what these can handle, I will definitely give them my business again...
Keep in mind that the best deal may not necessarily be the best protection, and when it comes to protecting our eyes, well, you really only get one chance so do it right and get good protection the 1st time around - besides that, only the people directly involved with the build should be using...
Welcome to the forum! Thats pretty cool that ya'll used this forum to do research :D there are many extremely intelligent people here who hopefully can see your quick need and therefore provide you with everything you will need to get a handle on the project.
All I know about optics is this...
Yes, the link you used in the OP has it set to the unanodized option; however, you might want to use copper, it's supposed to handle heat better... I have the regular size copper heatsink and a M140 with the driver set to 1.5 amps and I can keep it running for 5 minutes before it starts getting...
:wtf:
Here on this planet, when asking for help, telling someone to get that in their ... head and stick it usually doesn't work out well. I'm sure deep down inside your heart you're a great kid, but until you mature a little, no one is going to help you obtain a high powered laser. Come back...
Does anyone know if this was created by a legitimate member? And if it was, why don't they make it a little more representable???

As far as you, the individual goes, if you have a Facebook account that you are actively connected...
Thanks trencheel, when I first saw how the beam came out, I thought it looked pretty cool also...
Seriously... I think I'm going to start looking at moving south...
Thanks C, I can't wait to do something up in the mountains this summer...
Thanks Jim, I'm working with the Nikon D7000...
I can't wait until summer and I don't have to rush... This is what I was able to capture before almost freezing to death...
I think next time I'm going to go somewhere to escape all the light pollution...
