Re: Fs: 1.4w 462nm 501b $120
But if one doesn't care about the Host it's quite a good deal, right ;)
What would it cost to ship it to Switzerland? Not 100% sure yet... But I want 462nm
Re: Adam's Leaving Lasers Sale
Hey, Adam,
Can you reserve the Cryton for me? And not ship the LPM if you haven`t yet? Ill know in max. 24 hours, if I want it or might make an offer. But I first have to talk to a friend...
Re: Adam's Leaving Lasers Sale
So, the LaserBee is this one, right? Products
And so it will work out of the box without calibration? How much would shipping to Switzerland be? Searched for one quite some time...
For me it would be my newest Laser: a 13W RF excited CO2!
Well, for what it is I got it quite cheap, actually (about 300$ including shipping). Beautiful thing!:D
That seems terribly overpriced! If you go with such a simple solution (everything hanging around), then try to buy the components locally, after all they are selling you a few diodes + a resistor for 10$...
Just a small note: mW is not the same as mA... a 250mW diode produces 250mW of LIGHT, but it will use more than 250mW of power (efficiency...)
Your diode is NOT rated for 250mA, although you can easily push it that far (look at the eBay description!)
So I was in search for a tiny module to put 3.8mm diodes in, with a target module diameter of 4-7mm. Normally I`d mod one of these 0.2$ eBay Modules (6mm diameter, 10mw, acrylic lens), but not this time. The idea was to put in single mode diodes (DTR`s RGB-Bundle), so I wanted a good quality...
The mechanical part seems good, but I'm probably not the best person to judge mechanics..
The driver should be ok, too, but you cannot use it with two batteries in series, because the maximum voltage is 5.5V!
Well, focus might not be the best name for it, power density covers it better. 150W @ 25mm diameter is about 300mW/mm2.
So power density would be equal to a 300mW Pointer with a little over 1mm beam diameter, which would just hurt...quite a bit ;)
It has arrived at its new home! Thanks to jeffreythe00`s epic packaging my room is now full of styrofoam and bubble wrap (It doesn`t even fit in the box anymore, how the hell did it get in there? ;)) and the tube safe.
It will have a nice new home and be cared for with its rightful respect and...
Thanks for your reply. Even though I don`t have the money for it if I were being responsible, I still WANT THIS THING!
So, tell me what it costs to get it safely into Switzerland (insurance that pays if it breaks?!)
And make a video showing the beam specs (Just burn some holes into cardboard...
Ok, so what are the beam specs of a Laser like this? Normal CO2 doesn't focus too well, does it? And and what is the life expectancy? I really want to buy it, but I need good reasons ;)
Also, in what range is shipping costs? And how fragile is it?
