Ok, but just wanted to ask again to be sure I understand correctly - distance from the laser module to the line lens is not critical for the line width? Considering that the lens is placed a few mm from the laser and we want to get the line at a distance of about 150mm. THnaks

Sounds interesting, but I don't want to make it over complicated, since it will be a mass produced product. So I guess the best solution would be to find a laser module with all that stuff already inside and then just passing it through the line lens. Maybe you could suggest some cheap module...

Received the samples for a company with a funny name Huyanic, and was truly surprised by their poor quality. :wtf: Here you can see the line produced by their 10$ ( bulk price, 20$ retail ) module. Maybe you could suggest some other manufacturers who can do better at a reasonable price...
