I wouldn't mind seeing a video, since I won't be damaging lungs myself lol. Probably would make a nice pic though.
If someone does just remember to use proper safety precautions.
There is one other thing, if your paper is white a lot of energy is being reflected and not absorbed. Try black paper, or color a spot on the paper black and try again.
That is actually an awesome idea lol! You could rate it by balloons popped per second and time it took to pop at a set standard distance, complete it with a link to a YouTube video of the laser passing its' function test, a line of balloons!
Glad to hear you had some good experiences with WL. I jumped on the ban wagon and ordered an Evo from them this weekend, I couldn't resist that 40 percent off!
I am pretty nervous about the order, wait times are no problem for me, I just want a quality built laser. I have 4 lasers from them...
Interesting and enjoyable posts. I have lethal and non-lethal self defense tools and had been curious myself about the potential lasers had as a self-defense tool. I had read a couple years ago about Dazzlers and had been intrigued; after reading through the information provided in this thread...
Well I am a bit of an ubergeek, always boring my wife with whatever I am excited about at the moment. Retro-gaming, calculator watches (Pulsar LED Calculator watch by Time Computer Inc  ) modding electronics, various minor physics/science experiments, Minecraft and of course lasers...
I get a little paranoid, but I always make sure I'm not breaking any laws. I mostly use my low power green for star watching with my boys, and then occasionally I'll bring out a big daddy to shoot some low clouds.
I don't worry to much about cops seeing me, more than I worry about anyone in...
This seems like the best idea to me. I have set matches on fire inside of a balloon without popping the balloon until the combustion of the match popped it.
I would try using a clear balloon; filling the ballon part way with gas, then part way with O2. Use dark flash paper, and hang in on a...
Thanks, I will.
Howdy:wave:
I do want to get them measured, I'll be on the lookout for someone to ask. :thanks:
I enjoyed the detailed documentation as much as the laser itself. I learned a lot from you reading over your posts. Thanks for sharing that awesome build; I look forward to seeing...
I have been reading through these forums for a while now (a year maybe.. off and on), and thought it was time to interact a bit. ARGLaser's 4.4w is really what tipped the scales for me, you just can't help but get excited when you see something that beautiful :worthy:
I have two 1w lasers...
