That's an awesome kit- but it looks like it's the type of hologram that can only be viewed by laser light. If it could be viewed in ordinary light and I had a proper place to set it up, I'd be sorely tempted to give it a try!
I just bought a vintage hologram watch that the seller listed as "no longer being produced", and that reminded me of how popular holograms (as a novelty) were during the 1980s.
Back then, I had a catalog of hologram jewelry that I looked over many times and wished I could get...I still have a...
Yeah, one in particular throws A LOT of light at the floor, or other places it's not supposed to. I'm thinking "stray emissions" best describes it, but am clueless on how to correct the problem.
The lenses shouldn't be dirty since it's brand new.
Thanks for your answer. I already knew about speckle, and this is something else entirely. For example, one keychain laser I have throws light on the floor, well below the beam. I have another one that shows a faint ring of light around the dot. The better quality ones do not do this.
Forgive me for creating a new thread on a subject that I'm sure I've read about here before, but I did a search and came up empty on the subject.
What causes some cheap pointers to leak light? I mean visible laser light that appears in places other than just the beam and/or dot. I've seen a...
So all one would need is a roll of tape and a vacuum. Interesting.
So which kind of vacuum would work better, Dirt Devil or Hoover?
(OK, sorry. I just HAD to, LOL!)
I like looking up things online, just for fun. There are several videos of people who claim they have produced X-rays from simple, common things such as nightlight bulbs. This is one example: Producing X-rays from a Cheap Light Bulb! - YouTube
I haven't searched for it, but there was also one...
More than I'd be willing to pay for most books, but considerably less than $200. And it was the only signed one I could find at this time. I'm guarding it with my life, LOL!
I just have to share with you my latest treasure. It's not a laser, it's a book. A book about lasers. By the man who made the first one.
Not remarkable maybe, but I just found out about this book a couple of weeks ago (it was published 13 years ago) and even though Maiman has been one of my...
Sorry for dropping in here kinda late. I've been away for awhile...other stuff, you know.
Thanks for the link! Personally I think she seemed a bit nervous, and that's why it came out awkward. I noticed on the close up that her hands seemed to be shaking a little. She might not be used to...
