    Mitsubishi ML520G71 638nm 500mW Titanium Ice build

Here is the last of my "Weekend Builds". This uses a Mitsubishi ML520G71 638nm 300mW diode running at 500mW output in a Titanium Ice host purchased from Mrcrouse here http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/closed-77014.html I used a 5-mode AMC7135 driver from eBay I agonized over how much current...

S06J with two 3.8mm diodes in it?

Hi, I bought a "BDR-S06" sled from ebay (here) and it has two 3.8mm diodes in it (the red is a LOC). Dont the BDR-S06J's use a 5.6mm diode for the 405nm diode? Are these retrofitted new diodes or is this a later model? Or am I just wrong and they have always used 3.8mm diodes? EDIT: OK I...

    Ruby Laser questions

I have always wanted a Ruby (preferably) or YAG pumped SS laser and have seen a few rods turn up surplus now. This HIGH POWER RUBY LASER M60 TANK LASER HEAD | eBay sparked my interest the other day although its non export and about 2-3 times what I want to pay (Sam's site lists the M60...

    My Blue Rainbow, 405/445/473/488

As my 473nm DOHM 100mw DPSS laser arrived the other day i thought I would do a comparison between my "blues". Funny how the eyes work- my 488nm Argon had always looked pale "Sky Blue" turquoise to my eyes. When I put it next to the 473nm it looked very almost green rather than turquoise! Here...

    Playing with Neon's

I took delivery of some neon globes today with my 12V to 2000V power supply :D EDIT: by the way all these photos were taken in a brightly lit room. These things are SO bright that the camera had to close the aperature so much and all you can see is red-orange. They surprised me how bright they...

    Mitsubishi 500mW ML501P73 build - pics

Put the diode and heatsink in a host today. I use a 6-mode 1400mA AMC7135 driver from ebay (one mode is "off" so I'm calling it a 6 mode) and a bog standard ultrafire host (because that's what the biggest heatsink I had laying around was for and I have about 6 of the bloody things laying...

    My first Argon laser

Very happy with this, just got home with it and had to post it.. Cyonics Uniphase 2212 with a beautiful 488nm beam, Argon's are fairly rare in Australia. The iPhone didn't quite capture the colours as well as the Cannon. The last two shots of the tube plasma show the differences, it looks...
