I'm always in for more power in a smaller package. Don't know when/if it will hit the streets though.

I decided to post this thread in General because I figured it might get the most views here; mods feel free to move it if/as needed. This happened in the same town where I live. I do not know this individual. This kind of idiotic behavior by laser owners is only...

Thinking of some new uses for my Tesla coil now...:D
Snip: "...The team used an ultrashort-pulse laser of modest energy to make the laser beam intense enough that it could focus on itself in air and stay focused in a filament, he said.
“If a laser beam is intense enough, its electromagnetic...
Yes, I realize that silver is far more expensive than copper, but has anyone considered or used it for a heatsink, especially for small/micro builds, seeing as silver has several percent better thermal conductivity than copper? A common one troy ounce silver round currently runs around US$32-34...
Thought I would post the link to this list that gives thermal conductivities for various metals/alloys.

Over in the Red laser section Milos posted a link to their 1W red. Does anyone know anything about LaserTo or has anyone ordered anything from them? If so are you happy with it?
TIA for your input.
