I attempted my first host design in Autodesk Inventor today as I had a little free time. Please give me some advice as to what I should do to make it better or just feel free to give me whatever comments you want to.

Here is essentially what I am looking for in a new flashlight.
- LED
- Powered by rechargeable batteries (18650 preferred)
- Good for long distance use/good throw/little splash
- Less than $100
If someone could be so kind as to link me to or post a list of good brands that would be helpful as...
I know that the uvex SCT-Orange glasses block 405, 445, and 532 pretty well as shown here: , so I thought about looking for a cheap pair of glasses for the other end of the spectrum. I came across these which use the uvex SCT-Blue lenses. I would hazard a guess that they will work fairly well...
Today I will be reviewing the 50mW 532nm O-like Power Rock handheld laser. This is my first real laser (I have glasses before anyone asks) besides some cheap red pointers, but I don't really count those.
I'll start off talking about the order process and shipping. I contacted Susie via email...
I have a package coming from Hong Kong, China, and it is being shipped by Sing Post. I was wondering if any of you know whether the tracking info is A. accurate, and B. whether it will be updated after it arrives in the US. It currently says "ITEM DESPATCHED TO OVERSEAS" and it's location says...
I plan to use a custom host for a green build later this year, but I want to see just how bright a 50mW is in person before I decide if I want to get an 100mW or maybe 200mW green module. I am looking for suggestions on what to get.
What I have found so far:
LZSK - 532nm 50mW Focusable Green...
I just went to microcenter and got an iPad 2 16gb wifi (black) this morning, and now I need some apps for my new gadget. Anyone have any suggestions? Unfortunately I couldn't afford to get an ipad and i7 3770k in the same trip though, microcenter had the 3770k for $290 with a $20 gift card as a...
Today I am starting my hunt for a good aluminum case to be able to fit a full set of handheld laser gear: batteries, glasses, and the actual pointer.
This is the first one that I have seen and kind of like, but I think I can get it for less than $20 because lazerer doesn't give free shipping...
So, I've been doing a ton of research over the past few days before considering what my first high power laser will be. I'm most definitely considering getting a 1w 445nm because of the price/power ratio, but I'm a little skeptical about the shape of the "dot" these diodes tend to produce. It...
