    Cheap laser modules

Good to know Fox, thanks for the heads up. I'm not going to be combining the beams of these lasers. I just figured Chroma would get me close in terms of individual dot brightness. I'm hoping the three lasers used to make a white dot would all have about the same dot brightness when separated...

    Flying LASER Ghost.

I actually like the fast speed of the wheel for this application. Very ghostly. Good stuff.

    Cheap laser modules

Thanks TuhOz! Glad you like the pictures. Ya, I kinda figured those powers would get me in the ball park, although I did think maybe a little less power on the 405nm. What I need now is a reputable store where I can buy all three for fairly cheap. Would you, or anyone else for that matter...

    Cheap laser modules

Hi all, This is my first post in quite some time and I'm looking for a little help on a project of mine. I'm working on building a laser "orb" tool for the purpose of light painting. When done, I hope to have a red (650-660mW), green (532mW) and UV (405mW) laser, and some RGB LED strip all...

Does anyone know, or have the ability to measure the actual diameter of an Aixiz?

I have a micrometer here but unfortunately no modules to measure. I picked the micrometer up on sale for about $10 at Canadian Tire. You can sometimes find them cheap at Princess Auto too if you have those out East.

    Help with rgb led wiring

After a second going over I found my problem. I originally thought my circuit design was the issue, but it turns out a failure in my bread board caused the problem. One of the metal strips on the bottom had broken between two contacts I was using. Thanks again for your help Cy.

    Help with rgb led wiring

Checked my privacy settings and all were set to "everyone". I then noticed that the album was set to private so I made it public. I can still only see the pic when I'm logged in though so I'm not sure if it worked. Can you guys see the schematic now in the posts above? In case you still can't I...

    Help with rgb led wiring

That's weird! I had a schematic in my original post but when I came back to read your post it was gone. I logged in to reply and now I see it in the first post again. I have it hosted in my album here at LPF and haven't had this issue when posting pictures before. Here it is again, hope it...

    Radium Watch

This reminded me of the Radium girls. Radium Girls - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Wouldn't want to carry that thing in your front pocket to long if you were planing on having kids one day.

    Help with rgb led wiring

Hi all, I need a hand with simple lighting toy I'm trying to build. It seems it should be a simple problem, but I can't seem to wrap my head around how to wire it up. I need to pack 9 rgb LEDs as close as I can to each other in a 3x3 pattern. These are 4 lead, common cathode LEDs and it makes...

    Doesn't Look Like Much But...

Yob, did you use this stuff? http://www.glorope.com/catalog/detai...od_ID=51&Cat=5 I looked at getting some before buying paint. I was thinking paint or stuff like this with long glow duration would not work well if you plan to use it "white board" style as you'd have to wait hours for a...

    Doesn't Look Like Much But...

I have a glow board like the one's posted and have found that lower power lasers actually work better. I have a 400mW O-like and a cheap <5mW pen and I prefer the pen. Both lasers seems to charge the paint up about the same but the 400mW laser also kills your night vision with the bright dot. My...

    INDEX (work in progress)

This might make a good addition, pretty interesting stuff. http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/make-your-own-laser-spectrometer-62605.html I've bookmarked this thread Anselm. It's great to have easy access to all this great info. A good idea well executed. I'll post other links here as I find them.

FS: 445nm SS 18650 and CNI 532 pen

Re: Selling Off Most of My Lasers AND Power Meter!!! Yep... Kinda shady... but it's your LPM to do with as you like. I'm not interested in it at this price though. There are options available to by a brand new LPM, directly from the dealer, for less. GL with your sale.

Where to find a decent hazer?

Thanks for all the great info guys. I previously ruled out a fazers as an option. It seems you do get the haze effect due to the fan dispersing the fog, but the hang time still sucks. I pretty much could just set the timer on one of my current foggers and set a fan beside it to achieve the same...
