    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

The G7 I got from podo is a 9mm one as shown: This is the end with the lens flushed all the way(this end faces the diode): This is the end that faces away from the diode: This G7 only consists of 1 lens, which is the 2nd picture shown above. Hence, when I want this lens to provide me a...

    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

I have updated my first post of this thread with beamshots of the new 520nm AR Coated Two Element Glass Lens! Take a look! I'm curious though, what makes the G-2 Lens much so highly priced? *EDIT* If there's any comparison of beamshot with different lenses, please feel free to ask me!

How do you use your Class 4 Greenies?

I find that high powered green lazies are more appropriate for beam shots. Impressing friends with it and showing them that it is so bright that you can see the beam line even in the day:D I'll leave the burning to the blue lazies as they have higher wattages available in the...

    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

Hi thanks for the picture! But I'm a little afraid that the 2 element lens AR would be like the G7 in my post; needing to screw the lens really far away from the laser diode to have parallel beams and hence making the lens wobbly.

    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

That's nice to hear! Do you happen to have any photos of comparison between the two? Thanks for taking your time to read my thread too! Good luck on your future build! I will look forward to it :D

808nm 1 Watt Infrared Hand Held Laser Build

Hello fellow LPF members, This is my 2nd time building a hand held laser pointer. (My first build was the The Green Bullet <<<Link) I bought the laser diode alone from Ebay China Electronic Dealer HLD80801WH4T IR Laser Diode (Attachment is the datasheet of the IR Diode) and the rest of the...

    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

Oh wow ok, I will definitely consider getting that! thanks! I couldn't do that as I still have my back module casing and there won't be space. However, I have thought of drilling the conical adapter or shortening the lens holder.

It is necessary to remove the back part of the LD module?

I just noticed after I made the order  I thought the full/half back length option was for the wires' length.:crackup: Thanks for clarifying though! Check out my build using your stainless steel host. It's beautiful, Garoq...

    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

No worries! The building that I'm pointing at is under construction, no apartments were for sales yet! I'll try to do a comparison tomorrow, but I think it would be hard to differentiate without a laser meter reader?

    1.3-1.4Watt 520nm NDG7475 GREEN BULLET Build

Hello fellow LPF members, It's my first time building a laser pointer and I know this is crazy and I should probably go for a cheaper and lower powered laser pointer but what's done is done :D. I bought the laser diode + module + G-2 lens from DTR laser shop NDG7475 520nm Laser Diode and the...

It is necessary to remove the back part of the LD module?

the back part of the module is sliding on the wire that is soldered-joining the laser diode and the driver, so If i want it out, i will have to desolder the wire Yea! that's what I thought too. Thanks man! I'm planning to make a thread on my build later on >:)

It is necessary to remove the back part of the LD module?

Oh okay, that's agrees with my logic, Thank you so much, because, you know.., I'm afraid to desolder the laser diode if I made a mistake, risk burning it.

It is necessary to remove the back part of the LD module?

Hello fellow LPF members, I have this burning question before I could continue my laser assembly: http://imgur.com/a/9rVFg Why do instructions and tutortials always say to remove the back end of the laser diode Module? Why can't it be attached to give additional heatsinking? I think that it...

    Will this work?

Hi encap! Thanks! I have asked them before this and they recommended the following SL parts to me including the 1.25A driver :) I started this thread because I was worried if I missed out something as this is first high powered laser build Hi 10fenny, thanks for replying! By the way, how do...

    Will this work?

Hello fellow LPF members, I always wanted to build a 808nm laser and so I'm here to receive any feedback/help if my decision to buy the following parts would work: Laser diode: A 808nm 1W 9.0mm LD 808D 1000 TO5 9 0mm 1W 1000mW 808nm Infrared IR Laser Diode to 5 LD | eBay They sent me a data...
