Ive noticed that dx has 2 of these in stainless, one being single mode and the other a 5 mode. The price difference is pretty large and i was wondering are the tail clickys the same? Are the modes part of the driver circuit?(not used for the light when used as a host)

Ive looked everywhere on here for an answer to this, but, how well do the long open can diodes accept having a driver soldered directly to the diode? I was thinking of using one with a spring setup.

Since the blue ray diode puts out no infrared, does a glass lens still limit/no change/increase power output? Also, im considering a lpc815 build, using a rkcstr driver. Will this work down to 3.0v input? What would be an appropriate input voltage for this setup and a good tradeoff power level...

Does anyone out there know why cni modules are 200 percent higher in price than their competition? Are they worth it?
