Good to see another member hailing from 4hv.
... has a very good reputation.
I still have that 200mW 808nm diode and the ZVS driver you put into the migratory box. :P
Yeah, don't get the Chinese version. I personally have 2 of the Taiwanese versions and they're pretty good for the price. I also have 3 OTF Microtechs. No real comparison but the Lightnings are very good for the price.
And I hope people don't do this with the 445nm diodes without some serious eye protection and all doors to the room locked with a sign on the door etc etc.
Good to see some HV enthusiasts on the forum.
They're decent mosfets. Though they are TO-220.
If you need some more current handling let me know. I can get you some IRFP064Ns for cheap. (Almost half the price of the HUFs)
Re: 445nm Casio Laser Diode Compilation Thread
I was recommending the linear regulator just for simplicity. It might have a heat issue inside the Aixiz module, but a type of heatsink can easily be made to mount to a modified Aixiz module. Or at least that's how I see it.
I would highly...
Re: 445nm Casio Laser Diode Compilation Thread
You are correct. Not. It's rated for 800mA max.
Personally I've used the LM1085IT-ADJ for the driver in my 2W 808nm cmount. It works fine and should be just as fine driving these beasts. I plan on driving them with this at least.

Re: 445nm Casio Laser Diode Compilation Thread
If there seriously is a market for higher current drivers, I will seriously look into producing some. They're really simple.
So, continuous currents of 2A or so? Do they need to fit in the Aixiz modules still?
Re: ROUND 3 SOLD!! - CHEAP 445nm (true blue) 5.6mm diode group buy.
Oh snap that finished MUCH faster than I planned! I have money coming into my paypal from the bank. I started the process yesterday. It'll be a few days before I'll have the money in paypal. :(
I'll make a few housings once I...
Really? Benchmade second from left looks like an Osborne. Heh.
Hmmm... What is the exact model? I don't like going through the billions of products in their catalog.
I'm looking for an edc replacement. (12800SBK-801)
