I actually made my own safety glasses out of some recycled 3d glasses from a movie theater and the amber safety lenses that are at the business end of our U.V. light source wands at my work. I tested them by shining my ~2W 445nm handheld through the amber lens which didn't allow any of the light...
well i finally got all my parts for this build and assembled it today, it's AWESOME! I instantly threw on my super strong homemade laser safety glasses and started burning stuff..
awesome! just got my HYDRA focus ring adapter and flexdrives today. thanks a bunch. got my laser put together and started burning matches the hard way.. Thanks again for all your help, i am sure i will be purchasing from you again soon
Hey dtr (or other forum members), are there any other known drivers which will work in this build? I now have all the parts for this but no drivers and I am getting rather frustrated just looking at this non-functional beast. Any help is appreciated.
wow i'm super interested to hear your results, it's always nice when someone takes a plunge then shares their results for the benefit of the community. +1
Small correction, sorry I'm not trying to be anal but being able to use it in the rain or being able to submerse it to 100m would be water resistant or water resistant to 100m, water proof is different, there is basically no limitation as to how deep you could go without the seals breaking and...
I am thinking about purchasing from tmart but i would like to see how they perform on an lpm first. anyone get theirs tested yet? they seem to have great prices but i am skeptical, especially since they are rating their green lasers at 1000mW, maybe the ir diode inside is 1000mW but near...
Re: 445 1-2W Blue Diodes *Tested* $47 Shipped US $45 Each Additional In Same Order
+1 got my 2 diodes in the mail today, super fast shipping and you helped me quite a bit with finding who to contact for what, thanks a bunch, I can't wait to get the rest of the parts to build my lasers!
Hey, just wondering, do you happen to make completely custom hosts? I am thinking about making a2w 445nm laser and would like it to look like a lightsaber but also have a cooling fan built in. pm me if you have time, thanks.
Well generally the military would use an ir laser and night vision, this way the enemy can't see the beam, unless of course they are also using night vision. That's at least what I have gathered about military laser sight use. I've also seen a video of them using a focusable green laser to...
Oh man, I just jumped into this discussion and found myself getting incredibly excited, I'll have to bookmark this one to keep updated. Probably need a full sized mag light for a host and a water cooling system of some sort. Count me in for the GB for all colors if all goes well.
they were talking about using the rkcstr in the dorcy jr host, i can not use that combination because the rkcstr doesnt boost the voltage like the lavadrive. the dorcy jr uses one cr123 batt which does not allow adequate space for two cr2's. i am just going to turn the dorcy jr into a highpower...
Hi I am going to build my first few lasers but have a few questions. I purchased two of the pht-803t diodes, an ir high power diode which I plan on using for a greenie module I have and I am waiting for my high output red diode to come. I also bought a some rkcstr full range microdrives and a...
you are correct thank you. how about using the three aa model for the blu-ray and putting 2 of the 3.7v batteries in there to get 7.4v. i already purchased 5 rckstr full range surface drivers so i would like to try and use those.
also, would it be at all possible to make a hand held pulsing...
