    3D lasers!  :D

Well, I decided when I was bored to do 3d versions of lasers!  I've only done a couple so far but many more will be coming!  My best one yet is my replica of the laserglow Aquarius.  Pics are down below! The models were created and rendered in Cheetah3D (http://cheetah3d.com/) LaserGlow...

What do you guys use for fog? I'm looking for the cheapest, most eco friendly option for fog. Anyone got any suggestions?

    WTF @ Techlasers "Skybolt"

First of all, the RPL isn't CNI, is it?  So, I'm assuming that the Techlasers "Skybolt" is a copy of the RPL.  As if that's not enough, the price comparisons on their pages are WRONG.  Flat out wrong.  Look: http://www.techlasers.com/portable-green-lasers-225mw-p-44.html.  An RPL 200 is $709...

    HELP with alpha 125

Ok, so this has happened a couple of times now. The beam on my alpha 125 waivers and dims, but it seems to only occur at random times. I got home yesterday, picked it up, and the beam was unstable, dimming and flickering. I was using it for star pointing two days ago and it flickered visibly...

NiMH AA batteries make alpha dim?

Ok, so recently I've switched to NiMH rechargeables. Today, I noticed that my laser was flickering and dimming. After a moment of panic, I realized that it might just be that the batteries were out of juice. I popped in the other NiMH batteries I had on the charger, and the same thing happened...

What kind of batteries do you use in your laser?

I use 2300 mAH NiMH's.  I was tired of burning through a million alkalines, so I switched to recharables.  They last A LOT longer than the alkalines, and I don't need to keep buying batteries.  They also give almost if not the same output power.  So, what do you use?

    Lithiums in Alpha 125

Would it be okay to put energizer e2 lithium batteries in my Alpha 125? I've already gone through 2 sets of energizer batteries today and would like to switch to lithium for their prolonged battery life. Can the alpha 125 handle lithium batteries? Thanks

    Eyelids?

Would your eyelids protect you from a 100mW laser? Basically, can you get eye damage with your eyes closed? Thanks!

What was your first >5mW greenie?

Mine was a Wicked Lasers evo 35, it was OK, but sometimes you had to shake it for it to turn on. I bought it about 4 months ago when I thought that Wicked was the only company to buy from. Little did I know, I could have spent the same $200 and bought an X100 from nova that averages over 100mW...

    I ordered a new Alpha 125!

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Well, I finally earned up enough money to get an Alpha 125 from Nova! I bought the Alpha 125 because it seemed to have the best bang for your buck ratio. I've heard that it usually tests well above 125mW, sometimes even around 145mW. I used to own a Wicked Lasers...
