One more thing regarding the focus of the lens. According to my testing its not quite as sensitive as Jayrobs documentation states. In my laser the good focus for burning on short distance is pretty exactly on the opposite side of Jay's white mark he placed for the 5' focus. Just thought i'd...

smoke machines use glycol to make the fog. glycol is used in cars as antifreeze in the coolingsystem. Basically they are just smallish machines with a liquid tank that makes particle fog of the liquid. they aren't even very expensive
