    Integrating photo's into a thread?

Hello, I recently took some pictures of my laser for you all and I was wondering how to get the photo to just show in the post rather than having to click on a link. I've tried using the "picture" button and adding my link but all that does is make a tiny little image that you can right click...

SB, Wow, that is very helpful as that is pretty much the exact route I'm going. SL stuff is legit. I can't wait for them to get back so I can place an order!!

You actually did show me that link before, and I have to thank you for that because it truly is a good deal. Just been trying to stay away from China orders is all. I promise you I will order some from them, how can you go wrong for 5 bucks!!

    First build: Survival Lasers 650nm

Just ordered an m140 from DTR which is already on the way! I also got one of his aixiz 3 element glass lenses to try on my LPC laser. What sold me was the metal housing that the lenses are in. I also purchased some batteries and a charger: 4 UltraFire 16340 CR123A Rechargeable Battery 3 7V...

    DTR M140 very impressive 2.5W

I just placed an order for a M140 in a copper module from DTR.. stoked. Thinking of pairing it with a 1.5A buck driver and S4 host. What are your thoughts on potential output with the Aixiz 3 element glass?

    First build: Survival Lasers 650nm

Tonight my buddy is going to take some "professional" pics with his Canon, I apologize for the delay lol. I did however take a very quick vid of a classic balloon pop at 20 feet or so. I need to make another with at least twice the distance though :gun: http://youtu.be/gjaYSw-Lubs This is with...

Apex, I may just be interested my friend. I'm in SoCal myself.. we could meet up. I've got to admit tho, building your own comes with a certain gratification :yh: How far are you from say Northridge?

Thanks a lot guys. I still owe you all some pictures which I will have to take soon. It will only be running on 6V until I get the 16340's but it's still blindingly wonderful haha. I can see why a lot of you have huge lists of lasers in your sig's... I already got the itch to build me more...

Just saw your post Grainde, that more than likely would have been enough to fix it

I took the entire tailcap assembly apart and put it all back together nice a tight. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY. I am so happy I was able to fix this, hunting down a replacement didnt seem too easy.

Apex that made perfect sense. You got a point; tearing down a newly built laser doesn't sound fun. I will definately have to buy some of those batteries.. sounds like they'll do the trick!! I do need some help however. I've had this host for about a week and I'm already having problems with...

Thanks apex, You both are absolutely correct and I have noticed that as the voltage gets to 4v she wont turn on. As this was my first high power laser and also first laser I've ever built, I did make one mistake. After reading and looking around Survival Lasers was the company I decided I...

I understand what you are saying completely. I was doing my measurement with a fixed focal point of 1 foot burning electrical tape. ~4v was easily as effective at slicing that tape :)

Due to the size of the c6 it is not possible to fit both 18650 batteries (I am not willing to get an extension tube) Also, I am not willing to swap out this brand new driver and pill. I do however have some 123a batteries and when I throw 2 of them in, I can tell NO difference in power...

Grainde, Thanks for trying to explain that one too me, I just woke up and I'm finding it hard to digest lol. Disconnecting the diode from the driver wouldnt be fun..

    First build: Survival Lasers 650nm

I am very confused about your post. I bought a 450ma because thats exactly how much power I want going to the diode. You say that adding more voltage would not add more output in my case but you contradict yourself by saying you add another battery (more volts) to get more output. My only...
