    Kryton Beast Logo CONTEST!!!

I'm in the process of drawing some up. Just a word of advice to those making logos, remember the size of the host and that most small details will get lost or bleed together upon shinking. Think to yourself, "will this shrink to a business card size and still be safe." </my two cents>

    What Goggles do I need?

I don't think I would have ordered from them. WHY? They claim a RED laser is at the 532nm spectrum..... As far as goggles for that laser I would get an OD (optical density) of 1.5 - 2, IMO any thing after that will be extra protection.

    Lead Testing?

    It's a fun one though.

    Lead Testing?

So I just started thinking about lead and how much of it is in our lasers. My main concern would be from Chinese hosts, the cheap-o pen lasers from ebay or any of the components that come from china. I was wondering has anyone ever tested this out? If so what method (XRF System, chemical or...

I'm glad to see that you went through the trouble and actually made this! Very cool and very retro, makes me want to do something similar.

FS: NEW AW Protected 18650 2600mAh batteries *SOLD OUT*

Re: FS: NEW AW Protected 18650 2600mAh batteries Yes they really are new never charged by me, but I have checked to make sure they are at a shelf stable voltage. As for the for the non-button top it's not a big deal most have springs and if they don't then a spacer will fix it (neodymium...

    Battery for Arctic

I would personally go with a 2600 - 2800 mAh, and should absolutly should be a protected cell. If you are using the cheap charger they sent with it, then you need a protected cell to prevent overcharging and possible explosions!

    Ebay $9 blu-ray pens: GREAT!

405nm 5mW Violet Purple Blue Ray Blue Laser Pointer Pen - eBay (item 220641998660 end time Aug-21-10 23:18:38 PDT) That one is just a hair cheaper if you want to try it out. I'm sure it's the same thing, but you might be waiting awhile for that one. I personally would opt for the quicker...

    Ebay $9 blu-ray pens: GREAT!

I just got my two and yep they are "GREAT!" The first one I tested was 56mw max and stable at around 54mw and the second was 48mw max and 43mw stable. So yes, these are a GREAT buy and if they last awhile, then these are a steal! Thank you for the review, enlightenment and post.

New Stock of Overspec 5mW Green **3/2011 batch is here!**

Re: 5mW 405nM $9 on eBay Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I think if you used one you might be alright for a little while, but I'm not really sure, you would have to measure it on the module.

Soldering the current range jumpers on Microboost

I started out practicing on old electronic boards that I had harvested. I desoldered a resistor, diode, etc. from the board and then tried to solder it back, I would do this until I felt I could do it with my eyes closed (don't actually do that). After that I desoldered all the components and...
