Congo blue and primary red eye protector

XD well it went in "safety" and "green laser" sections. So w/e my bad

    Yep, light filters.

Congo blue and primary red eye protector

I have a sheets of congo blue and primary red gel sheets. When combined, the effect is like looking through that of a welders mask. I can point my lasers directly at my pupil, and just see the red glow of the LD (keep in mind the lasers are <50mW green). I am wondering if this is as safe as...

    320~350mA Constant Current Regulated

Hey are any of these DX drivers suitable for driodes running at high mA's?:undecided: DealExtreme: $2.40 MR16 1*3W 320~350mA Constant Current Regulated LED Driver (8~40V Input) DealExtreme: $3.22 GU10 3*1W 300~320mA Constant Current Regulated LED Driver (85~265V AC)

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Well focusing on the DDL, as a test load i use an LED, which is sufficient for the LM317 schematic..as fot the potentiometer on this driver, i guess i can take it off ( b/c it is kind of pointless) and just add two 7.2Ohm resistors in series which will give me 3.6Ohms i guess...then since i dont...

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Hmm interesting, because i might have just soldered the terminals backwards. On my DDL driver, turning it clockwise increase output/counterclockwise decreases. So that may be the "problem" for that. But i do think that on my DX drivers, turning the pot is the same as my DDL driver. I may be...

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Dont you mean counter-clockwise? I thought turning the pot clockwise increases output on the diode? And turning it left, decreases?

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Ok, i think i got it. Explain again why there needs to be three pins from the LD.... from the green diode...hooked in the board...but the 20x red LD i will soon put in, only needs to be hooked in with two pins - and + .... Also, once i hook up the 20x LD to this driver, and switch out the...

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Also, for this module DealExtreme: $4.06 Red Laser Module - Focusable Dot (3.5V~4.5V 16mm 5mW), what should i use in terms of a diode? A open can or a closed can..is theere a difference in focusing or power? I usually go with open can, but i am just wondering the difference between the two.

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Yes, it is...i think lol....As for the cap, good question. I have asked myself that same question-whether is got "burned" out or what. Heres the story on this driver--As always, when i get a laser for DX, i mod it a bit. On this pointer, the top housing wouldnt come off, so i drilled a small...

alright, pics should work..the album was set on private sorry..take a look at 'em

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

This is the driver that presumably works (pot). The pot that doesnt work is still in my pointer...the diy i was asking about, reffered to this driver^^^pics

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Oh and btw, here is the pics of that driver (50mW) http://laserpointerforums.com/members/creanzworld17/albums/ff/1488-s7303734/ http://laserpointerforums.com/members/creanzworld17/albums/ff/1487-s7303731/

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

I am not quite sure. On my other drivers from DX, the potentiometers are accessable. But this one i am talking about, i cant seem to do anything to affect it. I say that, because all the lasers i get from DX, "i take it apart" and get to the pot, and usually amp it up a few more mW's. This...

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

oh my bad i didnt mean 3Ohm, i was thinking of another project as i was typing.lol. I havent looked at mine yet, but i am assuming the resistor is the same..so you tell me-what should i replace it with..only though if what i said is right ^^

LPC-815 red module powered by single Li-ion + linear driver

Hey i know this was probably already talked about, but honestly i dont have time to go through the whole thread. One of my lasers is the 50mW greenie for DX (the true green pointer) so i am figuring the driver is the same from the module you bought. My question: if i remove the present resistor...
