class V (5) laser build specifications

I wanna see a gnarly Gamma Ray laser, then you can call it a class 5

405nm L.D. naked under indiscrete microscope, with good DOF (30 Photos)

Awesome photos! diodes are still mysterious to me! Man I wish I could use the camera's at work... the toolmaker scopes... or the Scanning Electron Microscope!!! OMG... Definitely thanks for taking the time to share!!

Have been asked to pertake in Laser trip wire project

I Don't recall saying it was necessary? I was just sharing what I had done.

    playstation 2 laser

this^^ took me several tries to break it down far enough for my purposes without damaging it. First tear down was just for learning, no way that diode would have made it... after knowing how it worked and was wired I was able to disassemble other ones for harvesting.

Excimer KrF krypton fluoride 248nm laser color?

Which is why I was confused since I see a brilliant blue coming from it... the must be the answer... it sure is a beautiful brilliant blue... IMG 3264 - YouTube Zi8Q-11v5Zs

Excimer KrF krypton fluoride 248nm laser color?

Might be a dumb question but..... Is it just me? I can't see to find any reference to their color... I see it at work.. But i thought we could only see from about 390-700nm?

    playstation 2 laser

I just bought some $2.50 keychain pointers from wal-mart and took those apart until I could hardwire the diode to a output.

Have been asked to pertake in Laser trip wire project

Haven't read all the posts but I've already done a small scale of what your doing. The answer to your "how to wire/trigger sprinklers" is TRANSISTORS AND RELAYS. Here is a quick video I made of the setup. It involves an arduino microprocessor that was like 35$ at radio shack, a 2n2222 NPN...

Liquid Laser- a scamming company to avoid

I was going to say gifts can't be reversed. Safer for the seller.

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Yea I didn't leave it plugged in long. Maybe 5 seconds or so on each side. I was amazed how rapid the change was.

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Hmm... will go play with it shortly... in the mean time here is a quick peek of the LPX zapping the wall a little bit. Around 200 mJ. I think. Scary! IMG 3274 - YouTube TW0JxPDcBls Also, just tested the TEC and WOW does that work good!! I only hooked up a 3v battery to it and it rapidly...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Oh this wasn't the emissions side... otherwise it would be fried for sure, this is the rear entry for aligning the optics with the HENE. I don't know how it works exactly... but the main emissions do not come from that end. The Emissions end can brown paper in a few pulses! I'll upload a quick...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Crap, forgot to re-size them again... Anyways no time for any under the good shots of the LPX but I DID get a video of it pulsing from the backside view port! The red laser light you see on the flap is used to align the optics. They shine a 1mw Melles Griot HeNe though mirrors and partially...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

as in Automatic Power Control? If so I noticed it does have 2 photo diodes along with this "extra laser diode" too... haha I suppose. I'm going to try to gather some basic info on all the lasers we have. Types, wavelengths and powers etc... Not sure if you thought I was actually using that...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

haha thanks, to be honest that is just an Iphone 4s shot though a small lit magnifying lens used when working on electronics. But I do have a little background in photography too so I'm aware about focus and centering and lighting etc... thanks for the links! I'll have to look into it when I...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Sure ill take a look into that. Thanks!! I've been a member of various forums for years, and have made many many friends through forums over the years that have stayed friends to this day even though some I've never even met! So I'm fairly familiar with forums in general. As far as pics the...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Thanks! And yes the technology is incredible! So much cool stuff thrown in the recycling bins (such as these 15 watt SDL lasers...) I had to peel it open! Thanks! Say, does anyone know why optical resonator seemed to have ANOTHER smaller laser/led diode in the side? A weak reddish color...

    Hello!! Manufacturing Tech intro thread!

Hi guys, getting more interested in lasers. I have a 2 year electro-mechanical tech degree and work as a support tech for a company that makes the arm or "suspension" that holds a read/write head of a hard drive perfectly in place. We use many robots as well as lasers, as the other more...
