GB: 4$ heatsinks, 1.5$ aluminum modules AND more!

Mine were waiting for me when I arrived back home after a work trip today. Thanks AnthoT!

    New 9mm 445 diodes

Update: I just tried a G1-405 lens and it DOES focus, JUST. It is still screwed past flush with the module (I'd never get a focus adaptor on it), but focuses to infinity less than one turn away from being screwed all the way down. I'll have another look at this soon...

    New 9mm 445 diodes

Sorry all I've had a hectic couple of weeks and been away the last 3 weekends in a row. The lens holder is screwed all the way into the module, there is no way you would get a focus adapter on it (see pics below). Mind you, at 1.8A this thing burns stuff meters away without being properly...

    pocket cannon

That also depends on which part of the country you are in. Red back spiders are everywhere (like the black widow in the US) but there have been no deaths since the antivenom was developed in the 1950's as its a really slow acting poison. The bite is extremely painful though, I've known a few...

    Very Strange looking diode

I have two of these and both put out well over 250mW. I haven't got them in decent heatsinks so haven't LPM'd them properly.

Cool :) I have been away for a while and just checked the forums again.

    Very Strange looking diode

I've seen similar. Most have put out 200-300mW at 660nm. You may be able to shove it into a cut down Aixiz module like in this thread. I'm thinking of mounting one on a flat heatsink with a lens glued in front of it.

FS: GGW-H20L Diode Set, Cree C3 Kit, Harvested Sleds and Focus Adapters

Yes, agreed. I don't mind paying, but understand if you don't want the hassles.

    For Sale V5 flex drives

I have lots of linear drivers, but for a single 16350 or 14500 / AA host running a 405 or 445nm diode you can't do much with a linear driver. I have a PHR diode in a 1 x AA host with two (NON rechargeable) 3.6V SAFT Lithium-thionyl chloride 14250 (1/2 AA) batteries and that works OK, but these...

    New 9mm 445 diodes

I got a blank lens holder from Jayrob and put the 9mm lens in it but its still JUST too far away from the diode to focus to infinity when screwed all the way home. It has about a 1" to 1-1/2" dot at 20 feet. I reckon another half a mm would do it :( I'm thinking of chamfering or dremel-ing the...

There HERE. Eat your heart out 500mW Mitsubishi's ML501P73

Mine still lases, from about 100mA up to 1.4A, but only at low power for the whole range. I have removed the laser, heatsink, and leads and taken the driver off. I was using an AMC7135 LED driver board from flea-bay. When I first got it I ran it up with a heatsink very slowly on a lab supply...

FS: GGW-H20L Diode Set, Cree C3 Kit, Harvested Sleds and Focus Adapters

Oh ok. I've bought heaps of stuff from the US / Canada / EU on the forums and had no problems so far.

Yeah I have so many single cell hosts now i need some boost drivers ASAP!

    Who here's from Australia?

I guess the quick & dirty check is to shine a laser through them at a piece of paper and see if anything comes out the other side. If nothing does then at least then you know they have SOME protection.

FS: GGW-H20L Diode Set, Cree C3 Kit, Harvested Sleds and Focus Adapters

Are the focus adapters C3 or C6 size? (I can't be bothered going to measure the ones I have lol). Might be interested after payday on Friday... if everything is still left.

GB: 4$ heatsinks, 1.5$ aluminum modules AND more!

I've had 3 packages from AnthoT in the past and all have been a tad over a week to Australia on standard post - about 8-10 days.

There HERE. Eat your heart out 500mW Mitsubishi's ML501P73

Well since I now have an LPM I can tell you my 500mW diode is now putting out about 4mW at 1.4A. :cryyy: Somewhere along the line I fried it. I didn't think it was very bright from the start, and I was very careful with the current on the lab supply and had it well heat sinked. It must be a...

    Who here's from Australia?

Components aren't banned for import. Make sure you use a proper constant current driver so you don't blow it up. I got both my sets of glasses from eBay for $15 each, but you take a gamble. Mine do work, I tried them on a laser power meter. One pair does the green / blue wavelengths and one...

    Using lasers for ground markings

Hi All, sorry been away for a whil and was kind of hoping someone else would pick up the ball on this. Problem you are going to have with high power lasers is eye safety, especially if people are working around them. It also depends on the size of the venue, if you are trying to mark out a huge...
