It's 623 nm I think. Green would be almost 3 times brighter.

DVD data recovery using 445 diode

I think that multimode beam profile would not work reading compact discs :undecided: And I doubt if another wavelength would work reading it at all.

    dentist googles are safe??

I actually own a pair that only passes fluorescence, although the design is not so good and I have no way to test it, they don't look very well against 405 too. I also have another pair with almost same design as radiant shades, but they are a little bit weaker, although still seem to have a...

    dentist googles are safe??

You would want orange goggles similar to eagle pair to test, I guess. But probably we won't gain a cheap access to them.

    cheapest 445nm protection glasses.

And what if you work at a bulletproof vest factory? These red goggles are available for like 3 euros not far from me, and sold as laser protection goggles, although I can't remember if they were certified; probably not. EDIT: focalprice goggles, not these 3D goggles obviously.

    need 100 5mw 405nm (blacklight) lasers cheap.

Especially if people using them are new to lasers. They won't understand why they can't point these dim lights into eyes.

    Is fluorescence safe?

Thank you for the information :thanks: It's a pity that I won't be able to observe that fluorescene without harm. Will probably get a weaker pointer in the future :)

Hello, today I was shining my 1W 445 on some colored hydrophobic sand like this : Science Museum Hydrophobic Sand: Amazon.co.uk: Toys & Games It is bright colored and emits a LOT of fluorescence. Here is a pic(sorry, forgot to set camera to lower quality; it is taken through yellow safety...

    Eyewear

Radiant shades should be good for 900 mW if you don't want to wait for shipment of these others or don't want to spend more. I wouldn't think that any OD is too high for 1.8W.
