It's 623 nm I think. Green would be almost 3 times brighter.

You would want orange goggles similar to eagle pair to test, I guess. But probably we won't gain a cheap access to them.

I think that some rest for your eyes would be good, some sleep and no computer.

Radiant shades should be good for 900 mW if you don't want to wait for shipment of these others or don't want to spend more. I wouldn't think that any OD is too high for 1.8W.
