    I suggest you buy some cheap/inexpensive laser accessory (e.g. a laser holder) from o-like, rayfoss or laserlands and ask to throw in one or two free stickers in the package.

    That's a rather big switch, so 4 solder joints are used to hold it in place, not 2 like with smaller ones. EDIT: I'm late :mad: should refresh more often :whistle:

    I just received my 5mW module from DX today. It's actually quite nice and better than I expected. At ~$7 it's a bargain. You can always get an IR filter for $10 or less (Optotronics Product Details) and glue it on top of the module.

    Yep, saw this one. Thanks. Looks very similar indeed. But I still would love the stainless one to mess with it myself, e.g. swap the LED for a more powerful one.

    Welcome to the forum! The black one is negative. The red one and case is positive. If you want it in a pen, you'll need to desolder the wires and solder a spring in place of the black one. You already have a switch. If you want to put it in a host with clicky in the back, you'll have to bypass...
