In the test video I know it only hit 2513mw but I tested it before and it hit 2566mw and right before I boxed it up it hit 2540mw I am positive that I could of placed it closer to the sensor and focused it a bit more and cleared 2600mw.

FYI I made another host identical to this one and I ordered the 2 diods from DTR at the same time. The other diode is not tested but I am expecting it to lay down comparable numbers. Of corse you never know until you test it.

The new owner of the laser I just sold with one of these m140 diodes is very happy with it. After final test it laid down 2566mw @1.8a and held there for a full 40 second test.

When are you expecting more as I would like to pick up another m140 and g2 lens....

I do not think it is any secret that running these at 1.8a is kinda the limit between power and life for the diode. At the same time I think it is a fairly safe power to run them at and more so if you have a good diode. I was reading a thread here over the weekend that was talking about this...

I have goggles, I forgot them and I had already got started on the test once I realized it.. ( I know its very stupid and I should of stopped) The coating on the thermopile is flat black and really reduces the glare and it is really not too bad looking at it.
