I love those MX hosts, Ive made a few lasers with the 3W 9mm 445. With 26650's it lasted a long time between recharge. I finally have a nubm44 and a 4.5A X-drive heading my way from DTR! I will be putting it in a MX host with a old Rick Trent heatsink Cowboys vid of his long distance grill...

Is the G-ball focused to a small point in that video? I've never used that lens. Have you guys used a two element lens with this diode?

I know this way is going to sound iffy but it works for me and has worked many times without problems. What I use is a toothpick, yes a wooden toothpick! If used in a back and forth motion I can clean debris off the diode window without scratching or smearing the glass. It may take a few tries...
