    Great reading on laser diodes

I recently stumbled upon this. Great source of in depth information about these little photon amplifiers we all know and love. Created by the manufacturer of the equipment that slice/dice the semiconductor material that forms the optical cavity/gain medium https://www.tomosemi.com/wiki/

    New drivers coming!

GTFO of here with your negative, condescending attitude. What contribution are you making other than making yourself look like an ass? Seriously, if you talked like that to someone in real life you would eventually get your ass beat. Probably not even a EE lol! Even if you were you...

    New drivers coming!

Some people haven’t learned social skills yet. Seems to be a common thing among “ laser nerds” lol! I’ve been here quite some time, I’ve noticed some can be really confrontational. Yea, it all boils down to insecurity or some other weird incel type shit I seriously doubt they would ever...

Been looking for this type of adapter for some time. Sure beats the crappy adapter that comes with it. Price please!

    Sharp GH04C05B9G 5W 440-450nm

I'm loving the recanning niche that the market has found for the blue diodes. As we've learned they go fast in free air. Funny you mention sabzh21, I went on a diode spree that same night as I bought the sharps and bought a recanned NUB07E from that seller. I've had a few 07Es that I...

    Sharp GH04C05B9G 5W 440-450nm

Also ordered one of these. Different model number, hopefully! Lol! $29.89 when I bought a few days ago $27.89 now https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003504932157.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.189b4c4d3IDfeu

    Sharp GH04C05B9G 5W 440-450nm

Thanks, RedCowboy! Just ordered of few from AliExpress. $33 Hopefully its the real deal. I'll report back when I get it. Unfortunately, I dont have an LPM so not much reporting to do besides my opinion right now. Just went through a horrific divorce. All hobbies went on hold for the last...

    NUGM03 1W 525nm Laser Diode

Dead on interpretation Red. Obviously to obtain green vs Blue different doping element/ elements were added. I do think they are related but differ with doping amounts/ elements. I like the particle size vs emitter size theory as well. Always blows my mind how many photons are streaming...

    NUGM03 1W 525nm Laser Diode

Still pushing this decanned diode at 2.3A and it's doing just fine. By far it's the most visible. Blows people's minds when they see it. I love 467-470, love 455s burning power, 405 BDR is very unique at its single mode power and unique interactions with various elements. But this is just a...

    NUGM03 1W 525nm Laser Diode

Just an update from my diode I bought almost a year ago. Still pushing hard with gball removed. Settled on a 2 element lens with the popular beam expander here(forgot it's name). I do have a bad habit of changing lenses(I have a lot!) frequently. I suppose its just for the off chance I get...

    18650 powering 5W diode?

I love MX900 hosts! Rick Trent used to make some nice heatsinks for it but I recently asked him and hes out so Lifetime it is. Rick had both copper and AL heatsinks. I've only used the Al but think a copper HS would work best for soldering a PCB W a spring contact. AL is almost...

    3.5W NDB7A75 445nm Laser Diode

Good diode! Ive been running it at 4A for a week or two with lots of relatively long duty cycles. 60-90 seconds. Rick Trent AL heatsink barely gets warm. I really need power meter so I have no idea what its output is. Using a two-element lens with a Sanwa beam expander. Can burn a birch...

    7W 445nm VS. 4W 470nm

Divergence is much better for the 470nm (without the gball lens) it will appear brighter than the 445nm as well. IMO the 520nm will blow your mind!
