Theoretically yes, 0 Ohm to 1K Ohm, in 10 turn. This was just one example, if for you aplication is not enough with 1K, this same seller has other values, such as this one, of 3.3K- piferal

Yes, I used them many times. Yes, they work very well, for example, for fine adjustment. And yes, you can find much cheaper than $40. An example here, you can buy 2 pot (10 turn), of 1K Ohm and 2W for $2.75 each.- piferal
