Well, I completely agree with you, but I'd rather have a $5 piece of plastic for my eyes than nothing at all when it arrives.

I have a related question. I'm about to buy a SF501B 1W laser 445nm. For now, till I get some extra funds, I can only get a cheap ebay pair. (I know, I know!) soon after that will come the eagle pair. My only question is, is dark green the right color, or what is?

So, I'm really pondering over the SF501B 1Watt. I really want this laser. Really. I hear that the shipping time can be over a month. Is this true? Because man... that hurts even more, even if the guy is in isreal. Is the wait worth it, or should I find another seller like jet lasers or sky...

I'm looking at the SF501B assembled now, but the $90 price after shipping hurts for a young guy. Still, it doesn't look like that thing will melt any time soon.

Is it possible to twist-tie the wires and use electrical tape? Ok, maybe not so good of an idea?
