Apparently the crystals are becoming even more expensive due too lack of supply in china as less people are bothering with 100mw-500mw 532 lasers and less places are making them.

i keep meaning to start a projector project myself, but i agree. much more enjoyment out of a Laser bouncing of spinning mirrors or mirrors glued to musical HDD's then the 5 seconds i spend admiring the bright dot and line.

Not gonna be 500mW, as many have said, its probably just gonna be a 500mW IR diode and then hope for the best in terms of green (less than 200mW most likely). Especially since it comes with all those accessories.

Did any of the LED's you purchased have defects? I know alot of the ebay 10w, 100w etc often have a few deadspots in them.

Even from the same seller you are likely going to get different makes and variations of the same thing, for a while i bulk ordered a heap so i could play around with them (Lots of poor lasers died) and even from the same seller in one order i made come across three different types of modules...

Those are pretty common little green modules, i have a few spares that would screw right in, what country are you from? Also as Hakzaw said, best to make an introduction :)
