Thats a pretty basic host(ebay'ish) you'd be better off getting a 12/13mm module and pressing it into a host of your choice, might even be cheaper.

Unless its some of their old stock, apparently prices for high quality DPSS crystals has gone up as demand keeps dropping since the majority of the market is 520nm or just cheap ~1-100mW eBay type modules, but yeah most likely isnt full 500mW although i'd expect it to be more than 200mW

It happens, just add it to your diode graveyard, in one a siting i crushed the window of a PLT5-510(520nm 10mW) and HL63193MG(700mW 635) both diodes spat out a little bit of led light and some shards of glass for me to later stand on.

These are the true questions LPF should be asking itself.

from memory they are of a higher voltage (3-3.7v if i can remember)

I was using a flathead screwdriver in a drill press and on my first run with $0.2c diodes it work flawlessly, but the expensive diodes didnt like it at all. Can only get away with bodging things so often i guess.

i learnt the hard way that i cant always go without a proper diode press after killing my first HL63193MG and PLT5-510 laser diodes last night -_- Smashed the front windows as they didnt press straight into the housing and instead went in at an angle.

If you dont mind i might print some of these out and send them along with laser modules/diodes i sell?

Not for a while, went on a bit of spending spree and need to wait for my existing stuff to sell but when i do i am sure i can go below 50usd. Apparently higher quality DPSS crystals for 532nm arnt being manufactured and the price is going up on them which has already caused myself a headache...

Can we all just agree to get 42"+ 4k screens already? :P

Like said above, you most likely got something around 100-200mW, anything above that would cost alot more, it looks like theyve just started pressing DPSS modules into those hosts. Also if if was aiming for 1w (500mW+) that host would get pretty damn hot.
