Has anyone metered the dx 200 with an IR filter?

Re: Has anyone metered the dx 200 with an IR filte I have one (1) DX 200 which blows me away. It consistiently outputs 166-176 532nm, even a few minutes after power on, and its just a frigging pen! The IR component seems to be only ~15 mw (with that long cap tunnel), but taken off, I can...

low power RGB scanning show, $500 range, when?

I'm just wondering how long from now you guys thing onee might be able to buy a modest RGB system for maybe $500-$750. Or $1000, but including all software, and capable of very complex effects. Sorry if its a dumb question.

405nm in solid state, RGB laser show engine?

I bet its not too long now before we see 405 incorporated into otherwise RGB scanning laser shows. That would be a nice edge, add a nice sheen to the high end.

405nm in solid state, RGB laser show engine?

That could be a good compromise then, especially since the 405 will have minimal effect on distorting the blue white balance. even with 473/405 composited, one could just slightly reduce the floating amplitudes of the 473 and 650 just enough to make up for the added 405 (for the pureist!)

405nm in solid state, RGB laser show engine?

Would it be possible to combine 405 into the 473 channel then, and just have the "blue" output be a combination of 473+405nm's, into one channel (treated as one)?

    Y not have a pointer composed of 5mW 532&100mW650

Re: Y not have a pointer composed of 5mW 532&100mW Cuz I don't believe in flapping my mouth needlessly;)

Why are Yellow lasers so extremely under powered??

Re: Why are Yellow lasers so extremely under power I think I know what you mean when you say underpowered. Its a synergy between cost, and wavelength conversion inefficiencies.

How to turn your green laser orange

Is the green beam (532) brighter than the rest because it's composed almost entirely of spinach?

405nm in solid state, RGB laser show engine?

Now that 1Watt RGB (solid state, DPSS & diode) are affordable, might it not be advantageous to complement such systems with a high power Blu-ray beam, for added sheen (blue end), and overall fluorescence? Simply as a way to make what is already very good, even better. The amount of pure violet...

    Y not have a pointer composed of 5mW 532&100mW650

Make a very nice, bright orange. Should be much cheaper than the pure yellow/orange DPSS solution. Or is the mixing a problem (to do it in such small a physical space?)

    Aquarius-2

good'nluck. i believe techlasers should stop advertising the cni rejects (which aren't available, anyway).

    dx infrared

I actually have one DX-200 which is ~178mw of 532nm at typical room temp, and maybe only ~20mW of 808nm. And even once the laser heats up, it only drops to about 120mW, minimum. This just *happens* to be one very good DX200. I had one which needed to be sent back, which had big problems-actually...

    Xerex from Techlasers-my experience

BTW:  Seems techlasers is just one dude (Yufang Chen).  Amongst the several emails I have received, most have incorporated obviously fake, "American" sounding names.  Techlasers is a one man show, but Mr. Chen goes by:"James Connelly", "Daniel Holmes", and (just) "Michael".  The Holmes one...

    Xerex from Techlasers-my experience

About a month ago (Apr 27th, to be exact), I decided I just had to have a 593.5, orange beam, laser pointer, and an Astro (8mW) 473nm, and I put in my order at Techlasers. Although I received my tracking number shortly thereafter, my package wasn't shipped until a few days ago (and finally...
