Ok thanks. I didnt know that these are IR diodes.I tought maybe are nice for a laser pen. Do you know what voltage is commonly used for IR diodes and which pins to connect the negative and positive to check if they are working?

I found these diodes from photocopy machines. Anyone knows how to connect it through the board? Or is better to desoldering the diode and connect it straight to a simple drive circuit? I am not really sure about the voltage,specfications or what kind of diode is.Any guess? Thanks. ps.I have...
