when i first fired it up i thought i might of heard what sounded like a relay click from the psu.i don't hear it now. i do however hear a high frequency squeal when i try to fire it.

ok. i did the ribbon cable modification and it fired up, measured .367 vdc. ran it 15 seconds, shut it down cooled it off, lit it again, no problem. then i shut it down again, cooled it off, now it won't restrike. i have a nice amber glow on the cathode end but no lase. any ideas?

i have recently aquired a hgm-5 that has not been disturbed from its original medical configuration. i however did not get the foot switch control or any schematics. i am looking for the schematic or information on the internal wiring of the foot switch so i can test to see if it will lase.....mike
