If You've Actually Received Your Spyder III Arctic - Post Here

Re: Arctic: Spyder III: Review This is the image I took of the arctics optical assembly. If you have an aixiz on hand could you please compare? The retaining ring has two holes. (Sorry for threadjack dave, but I am really interested. )

If You've Actually Received Your Spyder III Arctic - Post Here

Re: Arctic: Spyder III: Review Thanks for the info. I remember reading they are triple element, but haven't seen one opened up. I know for a fact the reds were triple element, but I thought perhaps aixiz changed to a dual element set-up. I know, because I took it apart. I posted some...

If You've Actually Received Your Spyder III Arctic - Post Here

Re: Arctic: Spyder III: Review The Arctics optical assembly contains two lenses, from what I have heard (not first hand experience) the aixiz 445nm lens is a triple element assembly. So, while similar in construction, they are not the same. Can anyone confirm whether the Aixiz is a triple...

    "Super"cooling a laser?

Basically yes. The cooler the diode the less current it needs for a given output power (up to a point) Diode:1 @-10C needs 100mA for 300mW Diode:1 @ 25C needs 350mA for 300mW (completely hypothetical, just used as an example)

If You've Actually Received Your Spyder III Arctic - Post Here

Re: Arctic: Spyder III: Review I am not too sure it is the exact same lens. In my case it is a two element optical assembly, from what I have read the Aixiz utilizes three? Check here, http://laserpointerforums.com/f65/arctic-forming-rectangular-shape-53740-2.html, I posted pictures of the...

    "Super"cooling a laser?

Wow, talk about a blast from the past, I think this might have been my first post/thread on this forum. :tinfoil: Seoul_Lasers: I don't believe it was excess current that killed your 445nm diode. If you look at the datasheet of any laser diode you will notice, that generally a cooler diode...

New Stock of Overspec 5mW Green **3/2011 batch is here!**

Re: I need a simple red module www.aixiz.net Is where I would go. You didn't specify wavelength, but they have quite a decent 10mw 635nm module for 30$. All you have to do is attach it to your batteries and you are lasing.

    CNI 1W 447nm PGL-III-C

Nice review. Have you had a chance to check beam specs? I am primarily interested in the divergence and overall final "shape", in comparison with a DIY build.

    WL: new stealth series IR?

Based solely on this picture: Wicked Lasers's Photos - Sneak Peek | Facebook I believe it will be a 589 or 593.5 nm laser.

Iniesta should go into show-business...haven't seen acting that good since the Bogart days...either way the dude is a douche.

    Drivers Section *Poll Closed*

Re: Drivers Section Agreed. Could we also move the Flashlight section into off-topic? Its placement between Pro-Shop and BST disrupts the selling section.

Beta testers wanted. Laser host giveaway!

Late to the party, spots probably taken, but I have a nice 445nm diode itching for a host such as this. :) You have a price for these puppies?

    F/T: ~Large Glass FS Mirrors

Re: F/T: ~Large Glass Mirrors They are indeed FS mirrors. :o I do not have much experience working with and cutting glass, though I imagine with the right equipment it should be quite easy to do.

    Drivers Section *Poll Closed*

Re: Drivers Section Considering the fact that we now have a Flashlight section...I think a section for drivers shouldn't be too far out of question.

Merged 445nm Pictures and Video Thread

Basically just wanted to say that the beam profile is more than excellent and if the retail spyders have profiles as good as that, hats off to wicked...but...only time will tell... Doesn't the profile seem almost too good? I must say it really knocks the socks off my kryton w/405-g-1...but then...
