    80W - C02 Buy.

Are you sure it comes with a cooling system? I don't see anything that says it comes with such a system. A self contained chiller would be very expensive.

Lexel Excel 3000 Argon Ion Laser - IMAGE INTENSE

They are both multi-line. We have to move them because our office is moving and don't really want to haul an additional 400 pounds with us. You can fake 3-phase but you have to have some additional equipment to do it. Of course you have to use your electric dryer circuit, or your hot tub...

Lexel Excel 3000 Argon Ion Laser - IMAGE INTENSE

Hello, Just wanted to let you know we have two argon lasers for sale if anyone is looking for big argons. I thought I'd give you guys the heads up first before I eBay them. The first is a Lexel XL-3000. The unit was working when pulled but there were complaints it was hard to start. The output...

    Red DPSS laser?

If you are wanting an 808nm IR laser (based on the video) I'll be sure to photograph and film the one I'm building at work. I'm not building it to have an IR laser. I'm building it because I need something that requires 5+ amps to test a new computer controlled driver system. It'll be a 5 watt...

    Red DPSS laser?

Yes, there is a limit to the amount of power you can put through a crystal set. In a good resonator design the focal point of the pump diode in an end pumped configuration and the shape of the OC and HR mirrors creates a beam waist inside the crystal set. So in reality you never use the entire...

    Red DPSS laser?

The critical factor in any solid state laser is the absorption spectrum of the crystal you are using. Nd:YVO4 (used in most low power DPSS lasers) has good absorption in a narrow range around 808nm. There are other absorption lines but 808nm works the best because you can pump a large volume of...

ATTENTION!! Everybody needs to read this and take action NOW(New Bill/USA)

Re: ATTENTION!! Everybody needs to read this and take action NOW My two cents: If the hobby is going to represented by someone in the hobby you better make damn sure those representatives have never sold, imported or purchased a laser illegally. The representatives not only must have the...

Largest Wattage in Handheld Portable Laser?

No DrSid neither are handhelds but they answered the question above as was stated: "Are there any videos of what a >5 W laser can do?"

How many times have you been on airplanes?

Hundreds and hundreds for me between military aircraft and civilian work. I used to fly 2 to 3 times per week all over the country. It got old really quick. I'll be flying four times next week to fly to Photonics West and back.

    Nice yellow beam

The laser is a Toptica TA / FA SHG pro at 589nm at 2W. When we run watt level 589nm systems the beam is very visible. I doubt it's been electronically enhanced. It doesn't mean there isn't a bit of fog in the air for the marketing shot.

Post your car spec and pictures

I just got a 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4. The image below is stock photography but this is what it looks like except the paint is black and it has tubular steel side steps.

    Post a picture of yourself!

This is me a few years back when I was high speed, low drag. I was a barney badass. Now I'm just a barney. I like playing with lasers now but the lasers I used then always resulted in a huge explosion.

    im fucking screwed

We recently shipped several lasers to Belgium. Our shipping person made a mistake and did not uncheck the box that says "bill customs and duties to shipper". We got a bill from Fedex for over $1600 USD. The worst part is the client would not have to pay the VAT anyway as they are a University...

    Prescription Laser Glasses

Read about frame style 34 here: Laser Eye Protection Sizing Guide. They include an optical insert for corrective lenses although your optometrist has to make the lenses. ML7 filters have low VLT and should only be used in well lit labs. You can see the insert on style 34 at the bottom of the...
