The safe way to get rid of annoying spiders and ants,:mad:is to buy a big can of raid hornet and wasp killer it shoots a stream of posion 12 feet away.
kills spiders and ants faster then a laser,plus becareful you do not set them a flame they will run as...

laser diode driver module, battery lens,flashlight host.
Then you will be happy you built it your self:gun:The money wasted in cheap chinese lasers that break often.

That was wonderful,reminds me of the time that.when we talked to the space station on Amateur radios,we chatted on the two meter band when it passed over at the right moment.
we did not have blue lasers to play with then.Nothing like Amateur radio,lasers, astronomy.

I agree DTR always test his diodes before he sells them ,:eg:I am very happy with them,DTR,the groove drivers. are all set to go.

why not try to take a file and put the axis module.In a vise.
And it may take a awhile, file lenthwise,as close as you can to the diode side without hitting it.
You want to file a groove in the side of the axis module.
and pry apart slowly take your time,this should allow you to...
