See, I thought that might be the issue, but the little spanner-wrench/screwdriver holes on the lens are facing the diode right now, which I assume is the correct way, as you wouldn't be able to reach them with a spanner-wrench if it were turned the other way. I'll try it, though. EDIT: Nope...

Haha, this thread is for the OdicForce kit. That's what I used. No special host/diode/driver. Hence why I put "built" in quotes. The only difficulty was holding the driver and soldering it onto the diode at the same time... I need three hands.

From what I understand, ALL 445nm lasers have a rectangular beam because of the nature of the diode - a linear array of tiny diodes all powered within one diode casing. This is unavoidable except with corrective optics.

On the WL website, there are two "Expanded Lens Kits" - one for the Arctic, and one for who knows what? I'm referring to the latter. It doesn't describe which lasers it is compatible with. However, both the Pulsar and the E3 Elite (green) have "Expanded Lens Kit" under their ordering options...

Re: FS: 445nm Laser 850mW Actually, I've read that the Microboost driver has a thermal protection circuit that makes the diode pulse to protect it if it gets too hot. Have you considered that?
