    DTR's Reviews/Tutorials/Modifications Compilation

A 12mm module with a 9mm diode in it, with one of the 22mm heatsinks. That's going to heat up damn fast - you'd be lucky to get 30 seconds of runtime before you need to let it cool. It's all well and good saying that you wouldn't exceed it but it's equally easy to accidentally forget, especially...

    Jnrpop´s collection

The driver board you have from DTR is what will limit the current in the diode - so you need not worry. From my understanding of the Mech Mod vape units, the removable part with the coil (in your case, laser) contains everything except a switch and the batteries.

    50W LPM laser

The best way is to base it off the vast amount of positive experience that people have with them. Reputations are golden around here and Sanwu and JetLasers have each got great rep. Sanwu practically make each of theirs to order, and their machining/build quality is excellent. You get what you...

True true - Good luck though (y) here's hoping you can resolve it quickly.

    Help!!my paypal is limited

Ah, not easy to work around that if they've associated you with LPF - It's not like you can just make a new account with a different email address because of ID verification. Hopefully someone else here has some good insight into how to fix. I know Jordan does a lot of transactions on PayPal -...

    Help!!my paypal is limited

Oh that's not good - I've not got any experience dealing with this - but I wish you all the best in recovering the account & anything in it! Does it say what transactions caused the suspension?

Would a laser pointers reflection be dangerous?

Strictly the worst damage caused by lasers is due to the fact that a laser is collimated, i.e. the light travels in parallel lines. This is dangerous because our eyes focus collimated light onto a tiny point on our retinas. An omnidirectional light source like a light-bulb, or a matte...

    50W LPM laser

You can absolutely get more than 5W from a chinese handheld - Look at things like the Sanwu Striker - That's using a 7W diode. If you want advice it's generally a good idea to be civil and listen rather than to double post, not post an intro thread and claim to know more than established forum...

    DTR's Reviews/Tutorials/Modifications Compilation

Forget that - you're going to blow up laser diodes left right and centre without a driver. The reason that lasers generally use one type of battery are that a driver is easier to design for a smaller input voltage range (i.e. 3-4.5V instead of 3-9V). Edit: I'm pretty sure that these 510 thread...

laser gases that emit in the near infrared frequencies

The US military already has this though - all you might bring to the table is a cost reduction. They tested a 30kW defensive laser system (XN-1 LaWS) mounted on a ship in 2014. Spending tens of millions of dollars on R&D IIRC.

laser gases that emit in the near infrared frequencies

The US military throws stupid quantities of money at projects that it wants - if there's really demand for this you'll get investment.

So pitch it to the right people, secure the investment you need to see the project through properly and make bank from it.

laser gases that emit in the near infrared frequencies

I'm gonna put it out there that if you're pitching laser anti-air systems, you need to be doing that to someone in a military boardroom - not a bunch of people on a hobbyist laser forum online.

laser gases that emit in the near infrared frequencies

You don't because it's insanely stupid and illegal. I know you said you were hiding the purpose to avoid politics - but there's ethical and legal standards that as a community we would be remiss to hold ourselves to. From my limited experience in this community - you're not going to get help...

laser gases that emit in the near infrared frequencies

I was mid-way through typing a reply, but Cyp worded it better. You really need to solve this as an engineering problem starting from what you're trying to achieve. Go through, what you want to do, why you want to do it, alternative methods for doing it, do a cost-benefit analysis of those...

    Help finding Long Distance Laser

I'd like to think that it's not that bad - but you're both worryingly right there... Anyway - off topic. If this is Flat Earth related, I'm going to take a punt (hopefully) that OP is trying to prove a Flat Earther wrong and relieve them of a few quid in the process. Always give the benefit of...

What batteries should I get for this laser

Those chargers look a bit limiting to be honest - I've got a relatively old Nitecore i4 smart charger that works pretty well - Basically any charger that actually analyses the battery a bit before starting will work alright. The Opus Charger that Paul mentioned looks pretty neat. Honestly...

.... (Dragon Lasers, JetLasers, Sanwu and others), they can often be repaired - but you'll find an answer better if you post an introduction thread and ask nicely with all the detail you have. People don't usually get their questions answered in profile posts.

Ignore Rayon Shyam - That's a spam account You will get better traction by posting a welcome post after reading the sticky threads and acquainting yourself with the forum's rules etc. If it's a cheap chinese laser - they're generally not worth repairing as they usually are all glued together...

    Is a 650/405nm 303 Laser DPSS?

If you're not protecting against the visible light from the lasers, you should consider this too though - as the only reason the IR is more hazardous than the visible light is because you cannot see it (and your blink reflex won't protect you either, though 303s are going to more powerful than...
