    Searching low power blue laser

Hm, seems to be impossible to have a blue pointer with at least a slight beam without eye damaging power...

    Searching low power blue laser

Right now I do not care what kind of technique it is, as long as it is some kind of blue. I am a beginner. Maybe someday I will have higher demands, who knows ;) I wrote a mail to laserbtb and asked my questions. Now waiting for response. Thank you all for your help! :)

    Searching low power blue laser

@Crazlaser and Hap May I ask what's so funny? I don't understand the joke ;) Maybe the price of 40$ for which I can buy a new one at laserbtb? ;P @CynicalBrad Thanks for the rep. Then I should go for the 5mW version and hope for some fog to occur for better visibility. A 473nm laser would be...

    Searching low power blue laser

Thank you all for the valuable information. I mostly want to view the beam at night, like a lightsaber. Using the laser when it is foggy is surely interesting, too. Just toying a bit around and be happy to have a cool blue laser^^ Now I am unsure if I should buy the 1mW or the 5mW laser.

    Searching low power blue laser

Thanks Encap! Nice caluculator. A shame I can't imagine how it will look for real. So I have no clue if 1mW is satisfying or not, You know what I mean? I already have a green laser and it is very bright. I don't know the output (I think the printed values are fake), but I guess it is above...

    Searching low power blue laser

Thanks for your effort, but I think I will stick with the 1mW solution, because everything above this level is hazardous for your eyes, especially at this wavelength. The fact that I want to use it without goggles requires the beam to be as low powered as possible. Class 2M is a safe option, so...

    Searching low power blue laser

Legally obtainable in Germany are lasers of class 2M or blow (1mW or below). But I have never seen a blue laser in any store around here. Just the standard red laser pointers. Legally usable in Germany are all laser classes, but only for private use and under the condition that nobody gets hurt...

    Searching low power blue laser

@Hap Okay, then I will purchase the 1mW edition. Thanks ;) @GSS Only for fun.

    Searching low power blue laser

Hey, thanks for the advice! Okay, 330$ with shipping is a bit too expensive for me^^ But 46$ is a good price I think. They have a 1mW option, so I assume this is the most safe option available out there. If nobody else can show me a cheaper laser with the same specs I will go with the laser...

    Searching low power blue laser

Hi there! I apologize if a similar thread already exists, but my search got me no results. I currently want to start with a laser as safe as possible to use. But I want to have a blue laser (between 405nm and 475nm) and found nothing in the low power segment. I am talking about a laser <= 5mW...

Good goggles for Arcane 2.0 470nm 4W+ laser

Hm, okay, then I will go with the Eagle Pair OD6. Thanks for your recommendation.

Good goggles for Arcane 2.0 470nm 4W+ laser

Thanks for the reply. Something like a ARG-60 fitover frame would have been nice, but 50$ for a convincing protection is better than having a cooler look.

    Greetings from Germany

Thank you all ;) I think I will go with the Arcane 2.0 470nm laser. The only disadvantage is the missing security, like a key or something, but on the other hand it is high quality for a good price.

Good goggles for Arcane 2.0 470nm 4W+ laser

Okay, after much consideration I decided to buy a Arcane 2.0 470nm 4W+ laser from Sci-Fi Lasers. They got a good reputation and seem to have a great quality for a decent price. The problem is the required protection. I searched and read many posts here in the forum and the more I read the more...

    Greetings from Germany

Thank you for your welcome! Sure, I often do my research before buying something, even if it takes a long time. But the result is often worth it. I always wanted to have a blue laser, but if you start without knowledge, it is really hard to find a good source of information about this topic...

    Greetings from Germany

Hi there :) I am a newcomer from germany and fascinated about lasers, especially blue ones. I am glad that I found this community during my search for a nice laser. And that I did not buy some crappy china laser for far too much money. It is really great to see so much information in one place...
