1st page, last page, current page, PM's ... like there is a real standard here. Or, wait what YOU set the standard?!?! Keep your cr@p

I am looking for something like this. Is still available, or can you build another?

NEW 1.5-2.5W 445nm Blue/Black Ice/Flash Freeze Lasers FREE US Shipping

Unless you are there, no amount of explanation will probably have your approval. These aquarium systems are to *fish* tanks as these laser pointers are to cat toys. This concept of what certain things are meant for is starting to stymie me. Before you write the words "... not/never meant for...

NEW 1.5-2.5W 445nm Blue/Black Ice/Flash Freeze Lasers FREE US Shipping

You know what they say about opinions. I am not in love with the laser method, but using ... a litany of possible solutions I have/used ... the laser I have is much simple. But needs improvement. " Lasers are and never were intended for tank cleaning. " given this forum ... is laughable.

NEW 1.5-2.5W 445nm Blue/Black Ice/Flash Freeze Lasers FREE US Shipping

Actually I am aware of enough of the construction issues and is WHY I would even bother asking if anyone else is into this type of construction. Yes. This is for aquarium maintenance. The 445 nm e/w G2 lens unit I have is sometimes used several times a day. Focus to within a foot inside the...

Laser burn on thumb- not sure, though

I surprised that here of all places this has not been mentioned ... laser wart removal. I was thinkin' that if you fire that diode up again and aim it just right into a mirror ... .. .

    Tutorial: Pressing a Diode

The CPUs was only an example. TO5 transistors and others are similar to laser diodes. As I said I have modeled and tested this & predates laser diodes. Modeled is computer modeling.

    Tutorial: Pressing a Diode

This is the typical with TIM. Imagine two 1" square plates pressed together with about 100 lbs of force. Just different TIMs can make a several degree difference. No TIM versus *any* TIM is a very large and distinct delta. I have beaten this to death in so many ways ... ... .. .

LDF is mentioned in an aquarium forum ...

Thanks for the links, a good start & am about to buy from a member. It figures that there would the high enthusiasm that I see here. I have not even lurked, and I have lurked elsewhere for years! The experience and training that I had with the industrial lasers kind of freaked me, to be honest...

    Tutorial: Pressing a Diode

TIM is not normal? I have modeled the heat transfer in electronics and there is a definite difference between with/without TIM. The high wattage CPUs used to burn out before the manufacturers built in thermal shutdown. I am just curious is all.

    Tutorial: Pressing a Diode

Is a thermal interface material (TIM) ever used? Such as that used with CPUs & heat sinks.

I am noob here and I like to see the sig list.

Hello everyone! Looking for advice on what lasers to use in an aquarium.

Thanks Apex ... and reasonable. The 2.7W is what I will do. I also have some flatworms that are usually only seen on the tank walls. And, typically quite low on the wall. Therefore, to prevent singing anything directly behind these targets an attenuator or some type of lens that spreads the...

Hello everyone! Looking for advice on what lasers to use in an aquarium.

Yes. I use google search, bing, duckduck, baidu and other searches often and for years. "Sam's laser" has never jumped out. But, following up on that ... for someone that is all about "... a wealth of useful (not just textbook) information... " certainly disguises the information in no less...

Hello everyone! Looking for advice on what lasers to use in an aquarium.

Just sayin' ... is that necessarily a capture of the most current tech? That thread is a little dated? I don't know as I am new to the tech as in not watching for several years.

LDF is mentioned in an aquarium forum ...

... at least one of a few that I ask/respond in. I have resisted joining this forum as long as I can. I'm just a tech-weenie although I did have training with an industrial CO2 laser (long long ago and far far away) that my employer had bought. I went to the manufacturer's location in SW...
