Upon this review I decided to buy one unit and I must tell you I am satisfied.
Mine arrived today and I check all of my lasers as fast as I could.
To my surprise, I got the numbers I was expected, upon my previous calculations.
Being a toy or not, this tiny shiny box is fully satisfying my...
Bought the gear, did some tests, recently.
Quite on the spot.
Anybody says anything, but the new batch is pretty good for getting approx. info about the powers. (+-10% is perfectly okay for me)
red dilda - test done with kinda sh@t batteries, 2EG, around 150mW - passed
dog chaser -...
5mW is not enough, especially during daylight.
But some 60-100mW 520-532nm pointer does the job well, even during daylight, in distances of few hundred meters.
Much depends on the focus as well.
I am able to make move big bird flocks with my 520nm/80mW greenie @500m distance during sunset...
The diode and driver have arrived, finally.
I had to order the diode module and the driver separately as it was cheaper than the diode plus 12mm housing with inbuilt driver.
However, I was pleasantly surprised when the package arrived. Jordan simply soldered the driver to the diode, inside the...
But he was, this time, so I ordered my N520 for the first shot.
I hope I can set it to put out at least 1.1W, so ~0.75W when using 3e glass lens.
That together with the BE should be enough for pinpointing far objects even during the day.
I have checked the switch and fortunately it has an inbuilt green LED and is fine
till 12V. No resistor is necessary for it.
Otherwise it has 4 legs, so he other two is surely for switching.
So there is only 1 issue remaining, regarding the build>
I am unsure what current is set in DTR's N520...
By beginning of this year I was so lucky to catch an offer about an MS-SSW host. I desperately wanted a 465nm build so I use that host for it.
However, parallel to that I decided to have a greenie as well, later on. So I started the search for a suitable host.
My requirements were:
Re: FS: Sanwu Laser store - R/G/B handhelds x3 BE & Stainless steel "The Spiker" rele
I would need another BE but I am not able to find the Paypal payment option.
Is not is possible to use anymore??
The same story with me.
I have sent a pre payment on 24th of February, still waiting for my host to get finished so I can pay the rest and have it shipped.
I am starting to think rude things about this transaction...
And as a closing word to this thread, I did some penetration tests today
so I had a better picture of that I built.
I never thought that one day I could have a handheld that can
burn through white paper but this beast did it in a few seconds @6 feet, using 3-element lenses.
To be precise it...
THX for the rep boyz.
Today I checked the "effective" distance and I was able to illuminate some electric pylons
@1.5km distance by sunset.
I am not sure about the material they are built from but it should be kinda metal of dark color.
My PL520 laser @~100mW is not able to do the same :-(...
DTR's N465 and the SXD driver arrived so today I finished the project.
The biggest challenge was to press fit the diode housing into the heatsink. I had to use two different vices to get it
into the place but finally I succeeded.
There was not too much space in the pill for the driver and the...
Today I decided to build the circuit (V2).
While powering it from 2 different batteries, it does not work at all, there is no voltage change when heating the TEC at all.
When powering only the V1 side (and jumpered), it works but it is impossible to zero the initial voltage,
it always remains...
I had to cut a door into the printed cylinder so the switch's wires fit into the tail head.
Instead of the soldering iron head "washer" solution rather I drilled a hole into the head then
tightened the screw and soldered the wire into it, so the "classic" solution.
I cut the...
The switch finally arrived, so I finish the tailcap soon.
However, the thread diameter of the switch is smaller than the thread in the tail piece, so I am a bit sad about it
because I was nearly sure that the two threads match.
Fortunately, the switch can be fixed with the fixing ring so it is...
