So I'm thinking of getting a diode: the Osram PLPT5 450KA and then running it at 5mw, then stepping it up over time, I'm fairly certain that the Eagle Pair 190-540nm OD6 goggles should be fine, but I'd just like to double check given the nature of how important sight is to me...
So i've made this circuit to drive a Mitsubishi ML101U29-25 at a working voltage (The diode represents the laser diode); Is this going to work?
The first part of the circuit is a simple voltage divider to reduce 3v down to 2.5v, then it goes through the lm317 in constant current mode to...
Where did you buy this? Most often chinese laser pointers are very.... unreliable; Not only that but i would STRONGLY, VERY STRONGLY advice buying laser goggles (Here is the best and only trusted sellers widely avalible, never use sunglasses or cheap ebay laser goggles: www...
Another question, cos i don't want to start another thread; If i'm taking apart a dvd reader, know the model number and brand; How feasible would it be to get the laser power? Tried asking other people but noone can find anything about this specific device.... (clarion PS-2684H-E) Ideas?
ahhh, yea that sounds correct, fortunately last time i checked the diodes themselves are not illegal, nor are the drivers; Some people have gotten away with stuff by shipping the diode and driver separately
Cool, was thinking of grabbing the "
Oclaro 250mW 637nm Laser Diode
In 20mm Copper Module W/Leads
No Laser Driver"
And simply making my own driver following these instructions: www. youtube.com/watch?v=2Rjlf7gnXms
Any last minuite things before i order? Would it be very strongly advised to...
Thanks for letting me know, are there any cheap-ish diodes that you guys would suggest? I would but a nice pre-made on but customs is a bitch sometimes.
So basically i am tihnking of building a laser of ~300mw, 808nm as my first laser project, i have experience in electrical engineering and have also researched about the safety hazards of lasers and will be wearing goggles for the appropriate wavelength of laser, my question is; Where can i get...
I agree with paul, however if you read this thread (pinned): https:// laserpointerforums.com/threads/actual-laser-laws-by-country.53770/
You can see this note: I've been told you do not need a permit if you are a member of an approved astronomy organisation or if you own a weapon permit.
So...
