    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Ill probably leave mine as it is then for now, I thought that 200mW+ would be easy now that so much has changed. It's supposedly a 150mW module. I got from Nextbox? I think? A long time ago that's for sure. I had started my build out with a 100mW o-like module, and I fried it out because I...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Craziness..... A 470 range blue would be nice to have as well. Gotta have all shades. Lol I know it's not really related to the topic, but where is a good place to buy green laser modules now? Like the traditional DPSS? I was thinking about buying a higher power module for my old green build...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Darnit.... I will try and email them the discount code. Thanks! Oh man, I know. My wife will kill me, that's the only thing keeping hold on my wallet. Seriously when I "left" for a while, NONE of these wavelengths were available like this. We had regular green (DPSS modules only), violet, IR...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Well, I couldn't take it anymore lol... I just ordered a Sanwu Challenger II, (492nm 100mW), with the G7 lens. I hope that they send the standard (included lens as well). I left additional notes to please include if possible. That way I have the two lenses to decide what I like better. Now I...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Thanks for the link, What lens do you have on your 490?

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Hmm, I wonder how their (sanwu) lenses compare. They only offer "G2" and "G7" whatever that means. I really don't want a square artifact. I can live with some artifacts, or not a perfect dot (my 445nm oblong doesn't bother me). But I don't want that big square artifact lol. I'm concerned with...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Ok thanks, I'll try and email them Another question for you all, They offer two different lenses. G2 and G7. It says that the G7 is recommended, but that's a generic note for all their wavelengths. Which lens produces better results on these sharp diodes?

Dropped my Custom built 445nm and it stopped working

Very strange.... It just started working. I'm not even sure what happened. I was using it literally moments before I knocked it off of the table. And then it wasn't working. I first checked the spring in the tail clicker. Then I noticed the "pill" was a little loose, so I completely removed it...

Dropped my Custom built 445nm and it stopped working

Hey all, Crazy coincidence that I come back to these forums after years of being inactive hoping to buy a new wavelength laser that I don't currently have.... And then I drop my 445nm laser that I built and had for years. It fell from my computer desk to the hardwood floor. Not a high drop...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

So, since these diodes tend to vary per individual diode. Does anybody know if Sanwu actually tests them? Or do they just use one of these diodes and label it 488nm? I'm just curious if it's possible that their "492nm @ 100mW" and their "488nm at 55mW" is tested anyways. So let's say, is it...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

You guys are awesome! Thanks for the quick responses. I really like the more cyan tint that the 492+ puts out in these pictures. I actually think that I would prefer the more cyan color over a light blue. Is 55mW (give or take) enough to see a good beam at 488nm? I have never had anything...

    Sanwu 488nm vs 492nm?

Hey All, It's been a while since I've posted on these forums. I've been inactive for a little. (Couple of years) Still enjoying the lasers that I have had all the time. I just got to a point in life where other things took financial priority. (You know, Marriage, house, etc etc lol) I "left"...

1.6W White Powder Coat 17500 Ehgemus Host

Wow, I LOVE this. Something about this host just draws me in. I normally wouldn't like the color white for a host. But the nice minimal design, and the shiny white really really goes good with that blue. WANT.

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

Well for the much higher cost of these known varianced projectors, We most likely will not be able to afford anything close to 1W. Since ill still have to get a controller and software too. I really like this one X-Laser : CALIENTE. Which I could get for just under $500.... my question is, is...

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

Oh, ok. Thanks a lot. Ill keep looking then. Like I said, im new to scanners, its something I have always wanted just for myself, and now that my brother wants one for his DJ'ing. I have finally started to research it. Any good companies to look out for? I find it hard to search these things...

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

O, ok. I did not know that.... Its not really gonna be for just a Laser Show. Its gonna be more for a little add-on to his other DJ lighting. We don't plan on doing too much with it, just pointing it a little upwards (so it doesn't hit people) and letting it go with the other lights on some...

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

Actually thinking we might take the plunge and get this when we have the money. 1W RGB Full Color Animation Laser 1000mW stage lighting | eBay It seems pretty good. If its all true. And at a reasonable price. What do you think about this one?

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

That would be fine with me How much do you think I could get a 500-800mW RGB? Ive been trying to find some decent/cheap ones. But im cautious. I don't like ordering anything that has to do with lasers, from unknown sources (for obvious reasons.... false advertisement etc) Do you know of any...

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

Yea, i was thinking that 500-800mW would easily be enough for this. What do you think?? We dont have a ton of money but hes got a lot of gigs planned for the summer, so anyhing under $1, 000 for the 500-800mW range would be good. Id prefer RGB but if the costs is too high, two colors would...

Scanner for DJing. Graduation parties, weddings etc...

Well the title basically says it all..... Been here for a little while now. Learned a lot, built a few pointers..... but never got into projectors/scanners too much. My brother runs his own little DJ Service. Hes got more audio equipment than any other party DJ that I have seen around this part...
