    Help choosing RGB LED

Ended up learning quite a bit about LED light. Thank you all for the input! :)

    Help choosing RGB LED

Well, I get what your saying, diferent wattages with diferent light sources might produce the same intensity of light. From what i´ve seen, Wattage is used verywhere even with LED Bulbs as "power rating" and due to selling point of view. The only place i see the lumens rating is when buying...

    Help choosing RGB LED

Hi! :yh: I just found this old halogen lamp and I thought about installing a remote controlled RGB LED bulb to either light up my room or to set a specific mood :) I found hundreds of led bulbs on ebay but since it will sit inside the parabolic dish the IR remote might not work ?! Also, I...

NDB7675 1.9w 470nm Pen laser made by Alien Laser) LPM reading added

Re: NDB7675 1.9w 470nm Pen laser made by Alien Laser :D I´d love to own one of those, that´s insane man! Maybe you could use a wet cloth and place it beneath the business end to cool it long enough to have a full reading, it wont be a true reading but that´s what I would do :p

Comple 1.5W 445nm Laser Pointer using 502b host.

Hi Imraneesa :) Back in 2011 I built my first 445 in that host!! After looking at hundreds of 18650 hosts, this one caught my atencion.. It just looks awesome shooting a bright blue beam and like Redcowboy said, the belt clip makes it uncommon and I think better looking than it´s cousin, the...

    Tiny red laser

Nice pocket laser :) this one is pretty close to the first one i built, but i had to use a flexdrive instead of a linear like the amc... how did you insulate the module?

Driver for 100mw Rated 532nm Module

If it were a true 100mW then 700mA from a AMC 7135 driver (2x chips) would be perfect, you could run it with a single li-on, minimum heat, and continuous positive. I a "100mW" module from a dealextreme pen running at 700mA in a C6 for about 2 years now..

Now Polished HS! The Bastard: 445nm 1.9A UltraFire KF-T60 Host-PIC HEAVY AND VIDEO

Re: The Bastard: 405nm 500ma UltraFire KF-T60 You had your diode connected to the driver while setting current? Yeah i grabed a benboost from moh at the beginning and it killed one of the two 12x i had.. But aside from drivers and current spikes and all that, I was talking in general about...

Now Polished HS! The Bastard: 445nm 1.9A UltraFire KF-T60 Host-PIC HEAVY AND VIDEO

Re: The Bastard: 405nm 500ma UltraFire KF-T60 I have to warn you man, my 12x died after 2 month of daily use at 500mA. It did not matter how well heatsinked it was it just died. Some dont even last an hour at that current, 450mA seems to be best for longer life.

How did you get your hands one a x-boost? I want one sooo bad :o

M140 driver for C6 cree build

Yeah their fine for 445 diodes. But I wouldnt dare to power a 12x with one of these without a safety cap though.

M140 driver for C6 cree build

You know what? Just had the safety cap and dont worry about resistors, the driver will output 1.25A stock wich is around 1W with 3 element glass lens

M140 driver for C6 cree build

My 445 laser only costed 80$ thanks to that driver :D The picture you see is actually the driver Im using to power the 445. I used a 1 Ohm Res (its under the cap and it has the white wires) in parallel with the "R200" to get exacly 1.5A. The higher the resistence you choose to parallel, the...

M140 driver for C6 cree build

Yes im talking about the DX driver :) Im using 2x 18350, BUT, i didnt screw the pill all the way in ,otherwise there wont be enought room for them and the - base of the batteries will deform due to pressure (wich happened to mine :p) Just use a 8.4V< cap. (Connect the - from cap to - output...

M140 driver for C6 cree build

There is Nothing wrong with that driver, in fact, ive build a C6 12x blu-ray set to 500mA almost a month ago using that driver and the batts still dont need rechearging!(i´m using 18350`s). I just added a output cap for safety and it works great. I can say the same for 445 builds. But you can...

    RGB hand-held laser

I was looking into the pictures and I thought that corrective optics would be impossible in such a small space... I cant even imagine the nightmare man

    RGB hand-held laser

This is impressive! I don´t understand one thing though, why would you use multimode diodes for this? Dont you wanna get a nice white and round beam even if the power isnt great?
