I look to move back into maybe in a year or two, but I never used the LPM much and I was never bothered too much to the exact power of my lasers, except when I used to own some rarer wavelengths

I think a damasteel host would look amazing, but its terrible for venting the heat from lasers. Have you thought about maybe a different damascus material? There's a brass+copper mokume out there that would be much much better for lasers, and it looks beautiful when polished :)

Are you hoping to get one cheaper here? If so I find it very unlikely that'll happen. Good luck on your search though.

You can buy them off Ebay brand new. Do you want it simply for the wavelength? DTR has a diode at 490nm which is very close.
