Thanks
Hey guys,
I am clearing up inventory and I am making the fmt drv v2 available for only $12 bucks instead of the regular price of $20.
I have only 15 boards left. After that I am not sure whether I will continue it.
if any interested shoot me a pm

Hey guys,
I made a new buck driver capable of up to 3A of current with very low ripple.
Efficiency is around 90%.
check the manual for more info.
This is Version 1 of it.
it's not a very small driver, but these are intended to be used with high power laser diodes and larger hosts.
the...
Hello LPFers,
I haven't written in a long time and I haven't even build anything lately.. Life is busy :( :D..
for a long time I had none of my drivers in stock. Now I have a limited ammount and you can purchase them at CajunLasers or DTR Shop too.
DATASHEET here
If someone is in need shoot...
Hi all,
I have seen threads about non received items, vanished sellers and all kinds of stuff that makes the buyer UNHAPPY!
I will keep it simple and short as possible.
This goes to sellers on this forum that aren't doing what is right. I am not saying every seller is like that but some ARE...
Check out the WL's Saber Add-on.
Wicked Lasers LaserSaber, a Radiant Blade that Pulses with Energy
that pretty much looks like a lightsaber and has that scary mean look.
and that power up and down - WOW (little slower than the "real" movie effects but still pretty cool) :D
the "stunt men"...
Some of you probably remember my 445nm laser (A140 diode) which I did way back then disassembled it put an expanding lens, then removed it, then disassembled it again - I used the diode to test my fmt drive, later I updated it ...with .. my fmt drive and now I decided to DISASSEMBLE IT! again...
Hi All,
I just finished my PWM proto board (Through-Hole) for dimming the output of most types of switching regulators that feature an ENable pin.
It works with LM3410, TPS63020, and should work with other similar types of ICs. Working voltage is from 2V to 5.5V so it works right off the...
It's size is relatively small (~9x12mm).
Side A
Side B
As some of you already know it's a constant voltage driver for Red/IR Laser diodes.
To set the current you must rely on the current/voltage characteristics of the diodes.
This is not that easy as the temperature is pretty much a...
Um... I DID IT!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
I kept the components as minimum as possible and simple. I got a board with 16.6x15.5 size.. But my final pcb should end up a little smaller than my protoboard (which is made by hand).
No pot for current settings. Fixed resistors are used instead...
Hi all
I decided to build a fresh selectable test load on a selfmade custom etched board (double sided)
and share it with you along with the pcb layout :)
I only took one photo of it but yeah.. it's not TINY!!
When working with smaller dummy loads I found it difficult to handle...
So I made it...
I think I found a very simple and easy solution for those who don't like the "Bar Like" output of the 445nm diodes :) - like me :D
This is the original beam after a 3 Element AR Coated Glass Lens...
This is the NEW BETTER BEAM
and there is how I did it...
First I got out my diode heatsink...
:D:D:D Ok I just couldn't help myself and make a boost driver for my BR diode!
I just didn't feel like spending so much money and not do it myself... (I actually spent more on doing it myself though) lol :D but I got 2 pcs vs 1 :)
anyways at first I was very skeptical about it... So I decided...
Hey guys,
I just received a 12x BDR-S06J diode from DTR and thought I should make some tests with it.... Since I don't have a LPM, I only tested the current and beam profile...
You have to excuse my English in the clips.. I got a stage fever :D:crackup:
I successfully reached 630mA but I...
Hi, so I decided to post the beamshots I made.... nothing special :)
they are in my album as well ... the entry for the competition will be added when the competition ends :) enjoy

wow... check what I found... maybe a new driver coming our way with this:
SIMPLE SWITCHER Nano Module Demo
ULTRA SMALL, ULTRA EFFICIENT SWITCHING REGULATOR with INTEGRATED SOFT-START
INTEGRATED INDUCTOR!!! WOW!!

So I decided to make e spirograph... (this is actually 2nd revision of it. the 1st version was using 5mW Red and second
surface mirrors))
now I am using 30mW Green and FS mirrors (actually the same mirrors but with back paint removed. I just hated the
ghost reflections of the SS mirrors...

Ok, I have finally made up my mind...
I will have to sell my first ever 445nm laser made by me :cryyy:
I didn't want to part with it but I need money fast, so I am selling things..
The laser is pretty much unused.. It's total use time is less than an hour...
check out my thread for details...
Hi folks,
I have a problem... I want to electrically isolate a green laser module
inside a heatsink from the rest of the host and still remain good thermal
contact with it?
I don't want to use glue based solution.. I need something that I can remove
whenever I choose to without breaking...
