    N465 diode?

A while ago, when this diode(N465)(Nichia? )came out, it was thought to be the next thing beyond the NUBM07E in laser hobbyist terms. I followed all the threads and the exhaustive research about how the high powered blue open canned diodes don't like life that much and eventually die a...

Sanwu Challenger II 488nm beam shots 150mw

Here's another look at the color.. This top one actually looks like true 488nm, lol! The camera is really struggling with this wavelength apparently. The beam is way more beautiful and complex in person. But mind you, this visibility in a fully lit room is only possible because of the smoke at...

Sanwu Challenger II 488nm beam shots 150mw

The most recent ones were on a full battery.. The earlier pics were when it was about 1/4 charge left.. However, the latest ones I'm looking at the beam and then looking at the screen and the actual beam to my eye was more aqua(greener) than what I saw on the camera screen. However in the...

Sanwu Challenger II 488nm beam shots 150mw

Wife was burning dinner in oven for a nice opportunity for some indoor "fog" beam shots with the 488nm.. More turquoise in person as I snapped it. Also my ~400 ish mw Ple Pro 405nm in the smoke. Nice to get a chance to actually see that violet beam.. (Bottom pics).. As a side note, I only took...

    looking for decent 26350s

I've been looking all over for a decent pair of apparently oddball sized 26350 batteries. All I can find is off brands I've never heard of. I've found Unitek, Imalent, .. I think I saw an AWT, Typhon, BPN, ZX Batteries, and ICR.. any of these any good?

Sanwu Challenger II 488nm beam shots 150mw

All in all, it makes sense about ambient light affecting our perception of color, but the weird thing is that most of the time when I shine the laser in any given area, the laser's light and color dwarfs anything else's color around it. Everything becomes a big explosion of blue light right out...

Sanwu Challenger II 488nm beam shots 150mw

Yes, this is pretty much dead on to how it looks in reality. Even though it was supposed to be a 488nm as I ordered it, I went back and forth trying to decide which to get... the 488nm or the 492nm. I just settled on the 488nm because I remember how I drooled over it when folks were musing about...

Sanwu Challenger II 488nm beam shots 150mw

Top image is with the 3x beam expander and the bottom is without it. To my eye in person it definitely has a cyan thing to it. I would put really more on the 490nm side if I had to guess. The funny thing is that sometimes it looks bluer with less green. Just depends maybe on battery level

Hi Hakzaw, Do you repair PLE Pros? And if so, how much would you charge if I sent my PLE 465nm...

Hi Hakzaw, Do you repair PLE Pros? And if so, how much would you charge if I sent my PLE 465nm 3.5w to you to bring it back up to spec with a new diode? Could you put a different diode in there, such as the new N465 and run it with the same driver that's already in it? Higher current? Thanks...

    Spiker 465nm beamshots

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I love this particular one. I also have the 445 5 watt spiker. The beam expander really makes this laser great. Just stays pinpoint sharp for what seems like miles. In high power mode even with the beam expander diluting the beam out of the aperture, it's still...

Got my Spiker from order purchase to front door in 7 days.. bravo! However the tracking drops of the cliff as soon as it gets to the US... Just pops up!

    Sanwu Lasers

Ditto that.. Great buying experience with the 445nm.. I'm saving up for a 465nm Spiker.. Even though I already have a jet laser 465nm ple pro. Spiker is really unique.. So is jet lasers though.. Collecting lasers is so addictive

    View from aircraft

I was wondering the same thing. And who knows what power those lasers were in the videos.. Most likely were just little less than 100mw 532s if even that. The ones I wanna see are in an entirely different class

    View from aircraft

Maybe I didn't word the original post properly. I'm not debating whether or not i should shoot lasers while aircraft are flying overhead nor am I looking for confirmation that it's 'really not visible so go ahead and fire away'. I really was wondering what these lasers look like from "up there"...

    View from aircraft

As we were coming to the "final decent" approaching the airport, I couldn't help but to contemplate and imagine. "I'm in the air on the other side of the fence, about where I always see planes fly over coming out of a cloud or treeline." My curiosity is I wonder what this 5watt 445nm laser...

    Sanwu Spiker case positive?

Actually, every time I go outside with this thing it's like I'm so nervous about accidentally shooting a beam within sight of aircraft, that I lose my nerve. It's so bright, it has to be visible for miles away. When I get up to our mountain place far away from any airport, I'll get some good...

    Sanwu Spiker case positive?

Okayyyy,,, so I just got my 3x beam expander in today from Sanwu. Here's how it looks on the Spiker: Here's some indoor shots for reference, taken with an IPhone 6s Plus: Some outside shots with the BE.. And this is much more impressive in person. High mode(5watts): Words can't...
