Maybe they should have used balloons other than very dark colored ones. But, a balloon IED isn't a huge threat and could have been shot down any number of ways. Maybe it just gave Israel a chance to use the laser. :LOL:

I think that video is in IR, they tend to use condoms seeing as balloon imports are restricted (sounds like a joke but it's not), I'm guessing those look opaque in IR.

Baloon IED's not a threat ? Maybe if one landed on your roof you would think differently.
Any kinetic round fired to pop balloons would still carry a good deal of energy when they hit the ground, seems like a laser is a good tool for this job.

Why do you wanna shoot them down? I'd rather invite them in for a beer and have a serious discussion about philosophy, the politics of world peace, religion and what would be acceptable barter for a real lightsaber.
