Focusing problems

The head makes 6 complete revolutions from being all the way in to just before it becomes loose and will come off.
The lens within the head will make at least 6 full turns, if not more. I have counted the full extent of travel of the lens within the head. With the combination of the two; there seems like there should be a sufficient amount of setting to get to where I want the focus to be

Yes that alot of threading which should be more than sufficient..
My same silver host also has about 6 turns from tight till it comes off. I haven't tried to loosen the lens though..
Did you reverse the lens by mistake by any chance?

No, I never removed the lens from the head. I have since gotten the beam to a finer focus. Maybe I am being unrealistic by comparing the best focal point of this laser to that of my 3 watt blue unit. That thing focuses down to a tip of a needle point....

Could be the stronger blue focuses tighter, or maby it might look that way because it's way more divergent to begin with..
Are you seeing the 532 well enough and using any type of smog or smoke?

Well, here in upstate NY in December, all I have to do is take it outside and exhale!!!!
