Zapping things from the sky: Airborne Boeing laser blasts ground target | NetworkWorld.com Community
The Boeing Advanced Tactical Laser recently destroyed its first ground target on the White Sands Missile Range, with a five second burst peaking at 10W output.
Now while the article deals...
Welcome to the Forum!
As far as I know, Aixiz is only the brand of the module, the housing of the actual diode, it contains no drivers or current regulators. For that you'll need a RckStar or FlexDrive.
Also, the Search button isyour friend, use it before asking :D
Putting the burster on the lines is a good idea too, I was going to say estimate the size of the balloon, and place it accordingly. :D
Good luck with the launch then!
I had my ~300mW red on without any eye protection, and after I saw the power with sunglasses(those were the best I could get on short notice), but I'm tellin you what NOT to do. It's bad enough if I do it, and I'm a hardy guy. In this aspect, DO NOT follow my example!
Other aspects are fine... :P
I've had one project so far, and even that went to hell, but I've learned a lot of things too. Mostly what I'd like to do with money I don't have right now ;)
And though you weren't among them (probably), I feel I gave knowledge to those who are in a similar situation as I was too. I hope you...
True, that point did escape me when I wrote the above. If the laser-related and Google ads are not enough, than I support introducing the unrealted ads too, I was just a tad frustrated at seeing them all of a sudden...
We're not that far gone as last time, but unrelated ads are cropping up: Kaspersky and Symantec ads, one at the bottom of the page, and one INSIDE the quick-reply box's border! You've noticed, haven't you?
I'm okay with laser-related ads, just don't let them take over the forum like last...
Guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but a FlexDrive will die at 9V, won't it? I mean I powered mine from three freshly charged 1.5V AAA cells, and the driver died along with the diode. So even if it's a BR (mine was red), the FlexDrive would be fried with the overvoltage, no?
I just looked up the...
Researchers have created a new kind of laser: Nano-Lasers, small enough to be included in future optical computers. They generate laser light via small clouds of electrons near a surface, and are actually called 'spaser', for Surface Plasmon Amplification of Stimulated Emission. More in the...
I'm not really an expert, but I think rocket fuel would require slightly more than a pair of AA batteries, and ReNNo has a point: the batteries need to be heat-insulated at the very least, lest they freeze. Although I don't know how ling the balloon will be spending at that altitude, but I'm...
